I like getting out to inline skate, ski, hike, and all those other requisite activities of living in this area. I like the thrill of dancing closely to blues, swing dancing to big band, getting down with zydeco, and, believe it or not, the thrill of hanging on to the climb and dips of a great symphonic piece or an aria. I actually can admit that I enjoy working around my backyard or on house projects.
I like to travel internationally, but admit IРІР‚в„ўve not done enough in my own backyard. My curious nature gets me to explore whatРІР‚в„ўs around me, and see different cultures and different walks of life. I travel with a minimum of baggage but I donРІР‚в„ўt necessarily put it all on my back and live on the cheap (that could be said about my life, too). I have been known to travel on my own, but on the whole prefer the sharing the experience with another.
My family and friends are important to me, as does making a difference in this big and sometimes indifferent world. Having my own space to do my own thing is important to me, but knowing thereРІР‚в„ўs someone who can share the time together makes me happy.
Who am I looking for? He's a low maintenance kind of guy. He likes the challenges of work but isn't obsessed with his career. He exercises regularly, enjoys the outdoors, watches some sports, but also balances those pursuits against reading, listening to music or cooking. He supports NPR, listens to Wait, Wait DonРІР‚в„ўt Tell Me, Planet Money, Acoustic Sunrise/Sunset, and sometimes watches the History Channel and can put up with an occasional HG TV. He'd have traveled. He's occasionally cerebral and sometimes silly. He loves his family and friends, loves to laugh and get goofy, and enjoys a good meal and conversation. He's grounded in his values and know the priorities of family and close friends. He has his favorite holiday and doesnРІР‚в„ўt dread mine. Someone who has his own life and interests, but makes room for another when we come together.
But despite this shopping list of qualities and attributes, I am MOSTLY interested in meeting new people. If there is chemistry that makes up for whatРІР‚в„ўs not on the list, IРІР‚в„ўm more than willing to consider seeing where it leads. Sometimes the best adventures donРІР‚в„ўt start off as planned. Sometimes these adventures are short excursions, sometimes they are to last a lifetime in one form or another. Who knows unless we get together and see what happens?

Whether that's a camping/hiking excursion, a nice meal (I'm a pretty good cook and used to have a catering business), to going to a museum etc. I'm just as happy in a pair of hiking boots as I am in a killer pair of heels. I've traveled quite a bit and heading back to England (I grew up there as a kid and half of my family is still there. Yes, I still have a bit of an accent) and Iceland this fall. I was just in Australia last November and always looking for new destinations. As far as a guy, it's simple. Nice, considerate, honest, fun, interesting, smart.
