Date someone special from Glendale, United States. This is a bit daunting….so first some background. I’m a local SoCal boy. I grew up in the foothills of the San Gabriels in a Leave it to Beaver kind of childhood. To compress 30 years, in quick order, I went to UCLA, married young, had three kids, and started a small but successful engineering business. I haven’t lived anywhere else other than Southern California, but I think it’s a great place to live. I still believe in those simple traditional core values of being “trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, etc.” Most people see me as stable, rather quiet and reserved, but there is a spontaneous side to me too. I may not be the life of the party, but I try to be a great guest. And I'm confident enough to be comfortable (almost) anywhere. I’d rather go to the theatre than watch sports on TV. I don’t play golf, but I do have a great garden. I have traveled some, but not as much as I expected or wanted. I'm a long-term kind of guy .... the same business partner for over 35 years, lived in the same house for decades, and have good relationships with my kids. I don’t mean to undersell, but I do want to be honest. I was in a long and successful marriage, but it ran its course and I’m now excited but nervous about starting a new chapter.
I want to be with a woman who is honest and forthright, emotionally and financially stable, cultured and appreciative….and someone who twinkles. I want to take it slow and be a friend and a partner. And I would like to have fun and not take life too seriously.
