Who am I?
This, I believe, is the most difficult part. I am not one to try to sell myself, I am who I am. I made a choice many years ago to focus on raising my children on my own and putting some things on hold.
I majored in Biochemistry, became an EEG tech, spent the last 15 years working with children and their families in many ways (at-risk, abused, day care, and more) and have a Bachelors in Criminal Justice Administration. Odd mix I agree but I may combine them all one day.
My youngest will be flying the coop soon and this has made me consider whether or not I want to remain alone. I still find this whole meeting people on the internet and dating is a bit frightening. I am also left wondering if this format of meeting people really works (currently leaning towards the 'it is a load of bull' side).
I try to always be honest (sometimes to a fault), helpful, considerate,a good friend, and so on. I have been known to be a bit sarcastic (said in a sarcastic tone of course).
I do not ride mountain bikes or rock climb and all that. I have/had medical issues all my life which do/did not allow for me to participate in sports and extreme physical activities. No, I do not have a slim and sleek physique and I may never have one. However; at the end of the day I will be that person one can call a friend, talk with, laugh with, argue with about silly things or real issues, and depend upon when needed or wanted. We all know our looks will fade, who we are inside will not.
Family should always come first. If you have children or other familial responsibilities they should be your first priority no matter what.
I am not a person who believes in a supreme deity. I live by a few simple rules. The Golden Rule, of course, and I believe there is a universal right and wrong and one should do what is right because it is right and not for whatever rewards one may be promised.
Pet Peeves:
Rude and inconsiderate people. Drivers who tailgate!! Profiles where the spelling and grammar errors are painful to read, there is spell check on here for Pete's sake!!! PLEASE do not wink at me or 'like' my profile or anything else then become a 'profile unavailable' it is really annoying and falls under that rude and inconsiderate category. Simply send me a message and allow ample time for a response.
Now that I have been here for a bit I have realized a few things. I do not mind being single, I am quite happy with myself and by myself. I do not have any empty spaces or holes in my life that need to be filled. I have decided I will be fine alone, but if I happen to meet someone whom I like spending time with and he does with me, well that would be kinda nice too. :-)

Date a soulmate from United States. Live, love, laugh. Cliche, I know, but that about sums it up. I am a pretty driven person - at work and at home. I am also very opinionated (I'm a female Leo - we're all like that - LOL), so if you want a shy wallflower, then I am not for you! All I ask is that you be honest, trustworthy, considerate, kind, passionate, affectionate, physically fit, self-supporting, have no addictions, love kids, be funny (and have good sense of humor) and be romantiic, intelligent and thoughtful - or some combination of most of those - is that too much to ask?
