I love Bossa Nova. I would like to meet someone whom I don't have to explain to who The Shins or The Killers are. I don't listen to old rock music. It's not that it's bad music necessarily, and I can appreciate it's impact on society and its place in music history, but I've already listened to it. Why should I waste time listening to something I've already heard hundreds of times before, when there is so much new, interesting, and really great music out there that I've never heard before? It's the same with concerts. I would rather go to a Turkish Prison than to a Crosby, Stills & Nash concert - and I like Crosby, Stills & Nash. In fact, if John Lennon rose from the dead for a Beatles reunion tour, I would not go to see them, unless they asked me to play backup guitar, and paid me, a lot.
Lastly, I love to play golf, and I was really hoping to find someone who shares my passion for the game. I like to do other things too, so I'm not going to turn some poor woman into a golf widow. I've just always thought that it would be awesome to spend 4 hours playing golf with my best friend and partner instead of just some dude at the golf course. Plus, it's a great date. You can learn more about a person in one round of golf than you can from years of cocktail parties.
