I am serious about finding someone for a long term relationship. Having said that, I am open to finding a new friend / activity partner as well, especially if that activity is something outdoors. One more thing... though I live in Fort Collins, I am currently enrolled in a Masters program in Denver, so I am there quite a bit. And, since I lived in Boulder for 10 years, I have quite a few friends who live there, so I find myself in the Boulder area quite a bit too. Date someone special from United States. After reading numerous profiles I decided to delete mine and express how I really feel. A profile doesn't really tell much about a person other than some basic info what they want you to see to gain attraction. And that's OK since the ultimate goal is to find someone that is closest to what you expect. But I'm a realist so I don't believe in fairy tales or happily ever after stories. Almost 20 years of marriage made me very aware and absolutely realistic of any new relationships. I took the good with the bad and when it was all said and done I still have a great respect for my x wife. She gave me 2 beautiful daughters and thinking back I'd ask myself If there was something I would have done differently that could have change the outcome of events that lead to our separation. Bottom line, I wouldn't change a damn thing. It was just our time to move on. We did all we could do together. The contract was fulfilled and time to move on and we both knew it before it got ugly. Now I do believe in true love, romance and passion. And yes love at first site. Now I hear lot of this chemistry stuff. Hmmm, I it see this way. Chemistry is not something you have off the bat. It’s impossible. True you may have some elements from the start, but you don't know till you really get to know a person. You have to have that mutual attraction and I know everyone isn't for everyone and I found that out, hell sometimes the hard way. I see many people looking for there closest match or soul mate but sometimes to find that, you need to find someone totally different than yourself. Two people can be so different that they have so much to share with each other. Sometimes someone that has the same exact interest as you can be a pit fall. But not always! The most basic of nature’s ingredients of a man and woman is strong physical attraction. Toss in some admiration, attachment, sympathy, trust and a spice of lust and seal with interaction and communication and chemistry will form. I don't believe in chemistry right of the bat unless you’re an atom. :) Because it doesn’t happen overnight, and if you’re looking for a short term fix for a long term solution romance will cave in on itself. Then we wonder why and where did it go. I truly believe that its takes time turn something special into something meaningful. And If I have to drive a little further, sacrifice a little more or change my lifestyle a bit for someone worthy, hell I'll do that because in the end it will be rewarding. Even a priceless diamond was once a worthless piece of coal.
