Date someone special from Scotts Valley, United States. Hi my name Chuck! I am looking for a conscious, thoughtful, loving, humorous woman who enjoys classical music, jazz, art museums, yoga, staying fit, traveling to warm climates, and just has a real positive, caring and loving attitude toward other people.
I really love your warm-hearted description of yourself and your values. I am looking for a mutually supportive relationship with a savvy woman who is commited to being a friend and lover, a woman who is able to express her feelings and at times be vulnerable, a woman who is empathetic and compassionate, and a woman who is willing to problem solve issues with me as they arise. I feel more loving and deeply connected to a partner when we are able to deeply listen to each other and practice mindful skills together, with the help sometimes of periodic and appropriate doses of humor.
For fun-
I enjoy working out at the gym four times per week, which includes attending yoga three times per week.Ballroom dancing at Sherl Burke Dance in Mountain View has been a long source of enjoyment for me. Movies(entertaining and romantic) ,reading, dining out, entertaining friends and family and traveling are activities I always make time for.
Education-
I received a masters in clinical psychology and have been self employed successfully for the past 15 years as a licensed Marriage Family Therapist. Teamwork is music to my ears! I teach couples how to learn and use conscious communication skills, and encourage them to work as a team in managing their children. A lot of my work with clients involves teaching them how to brainstorm solutions to their problems. Most importantly, I assist couples in learning how to live in a conscious ,thoughtful relationship, putting each other in high regard.
Dining out-
I frequent Max's Opera House Cafe in S.F. as it has live piano music and singing by the staff. Mocha Cafe on Maiden Lane in downtown S.F., sitting outside on a Saturday afternoon listening to jazz has been a long time pleasure for me.
Symphony and Musicals- I regularly attend the S.F. Symphony, sometimes on the Opening Night Gala and on New Years Eve. Other times I atttend the Silicon Valley Symphony. I enjoy jazz in S.F. and the jazz festival in San Jose every August. I thouroughly enjoyed seeing Lisa Vroman perform in Phantom of the Opera in S.F. I continue to find the messages in Cabaret spiritually uplifting, especially the message about coming to the cabaret and enjoying life. Reading-
I have the deepest respect for the commitment and courage of Nelson Mandella, as illustrated in his book,The Long Walk to Freedom. I am inspired by how Ted Kennedy allowed his wife, Victoria Reggie to become his True Compass. She helped learn to accept and express his feelings, a practice not allowed by his father, Joe Kennedy.
The Art of Happiness written by Howard Cutler, M.D. continues to inspire me to learn some of the beliefs of the Dalai Lama,ie,cultivating positive states of kindness, compassion toward others, and tolerance and patience toward myself. Regarding compassion- I continue develop deeper understanding toward the clients I see in my office who were born in different countries throughout the world. I continue to learn from them, so that I can help them. Currently I am rereading Getting the Love You Want, A Guide for Couples by Harville Hendrix,Ph.D. I am using it with motivated couples.
Meeting you- It would be an honor to meet you, even if you have already met the man of your dreams through Match. Com.
