Date someone special from United States. Most people I meet initially consider me puzzling as I seldom fit into preconceptions they have based on what they've heard. When they get to know me, they are comfortable as I am comfortable with them. Irony and incongruity make me smile; hypocrisy makes me angry. I'm looking for competence, confidence, tolerance, kindness and consideration. I'm thankful for loyal friends, loving family, an ability to think and a beautiful place in the mountains to live and die.
More specifically, I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains for a variety of reasons: the natural world and I get along fine, as long as we don't abuse each other; I'm close enough to culture, the ocean, academia and the amenities that make life comfortable;
I've traveled around the country and the world and, while exotic places have their allure, like exotic food they lose their luster after a while and I would always return here; I and my friends and family are available to each other as we desire/need.
I would like to share this life with somebody of similar but not identical tastes and intents.
I've been told I have much to offer a like mind and spirit and look forward to that opportunity.
