I've lived in Arizona since l972 and love waking up to sunshine nearly every day. I moved from a very rainy, gloomy climate and didn't realize until I got away from it how the weather can affect peoples moods. I am a true desert rat but I miss the ocean and sometimes wish I could spend more time at the coast. When I was little I told people that when I grew up I was going to be a "beach bum". Instead I was in banking for a long time as a commercial loan officer and then in retail jewelry sales and now I work part time in sales. I have had long term relationships in the past and find that I am happiest when i am with someone that I care about. I have a great sister, nephews and niece, so family is important to me. I'm very easy going and would much rather laugh at life's travails than cry over them. t I enjoy meeting new people and going new places. I would like to see more of Italy and would love to explore Mexico and also go on some cruises. I love the CA beaches. Road trips are my favorite. Shortly after we moved here my husband become critiicaly ill and we never got to travel and see many of the great places here and on the coast. Some one to travel with would make it so much more meaningful and fun. But being at home is totally enjoyable......the travel is exciting but just quiet time at home is wonderful.
Pictures - I am in Phoenix and I really did take all photos back to the condo in PA. I did try this one shot. First time I used timed delay. Tripped over the cat - he still made it into the picture. I was told that I look grim in my photo. I agree. I was worried that I might have injured my cat. I'm done with that plan. It seems I will need to ask a friend to take some pictures.
I guess I need to add some of my personal traits which is very hard for me to do. I know my friends would say I am loyal, kind, and caring. They would also say that I am humorous, intellegent, curious and adventursome. Enough of that.

I'm pretty simple, not a fancy dresser (I prefer jeans and casual clothes. I enjoy reading and prefer mysteries (Patterson, Rose, Evanovich and Roberts) to name a few. I read my first Evanovich book (it was a present from my younger grandson) and laughed all the way to the end. Must get more!
I enjoy traveling and if money was no object I'd travel all the time, although I am a home buddy. Sometimes I'd like to get in my car with my dog, Red, and go; so there is Nomad in my genes.
I worked in the medical field for about 25years, 15 years here and 10years in Washington state.
I was born, raised, married and divorced in PA. I have one daughter (she is my greatest accomplishment). They're all great (even my son in law).

. As a visual artist, I see the world with a different slant; a free spirit of sorts. Am fit, like to run or walk or bike ride regularly, and work out....not so regularly. Gardening gives me a great deal of pleasure. Foreign travel too, gives me pleasure, but also enlarges and enriches my understanding of people. . I'm a happy person, friends say I'm very easy-going and extremely loyal. I came to America over 40 years ago, I was looking for a millionaire..darn it, I still haven't found one! LOL. I did find lots of happiness however, married a wonderful man and we raised twin daughters, and now have two grandchildren who I absolutely adore. I've been widowed over 10 years now and I would like to meet a tall man who loves to laugh, go to garage sales, antique malls, ride up to Sagauro Lake for lunch, enjoy the views and each other. Honestly, NO I can't go hiking, but I can walk for miles (ok, at least 2!): NO, I'm not physically the same as when I was in my 30's. But my mind-set still is. Is yours? I enjoy my life so much, my p/t job, which gives me the opportunity to meet wonderful people and help them find out how good retirement living can be. My many friends, especially my gilfriends, mostly widows like me, we have helped each other get through many parts of life in transition. I don't expect to be wined and dined every night, I'm a mean cook! But I do want to to feel like there is that chemistry 'spark' in the eyes, and the possbilty that I could be the most special person in the world to you and likewise for you.
