Date single man from Tucson, United States. I've had alot of lifes experiences all the ups and downs and survived, and feel pretty satisfied and fullfilled. I would like to have a relationship with someone who knows who they are. Someone easy goin, an old soul maybe.

Meet someone special from Tucson, United States. About me:
I am a nice guy. At least, I try very hard to be one.
I am quite intelligent, but except for the occasional flash, am seldom brilliant. In a world of specialists, I am a Jack-of-All-Trades. Almost everything interests me, and life is so short.
I try to be equitable ("Fair" is a word made up by 9 year old boys. It means they didn't get what they wanted) in my dealings with everyone. There is little better than leaving smiles on the faces of people you meet. It is sad to find that a word and a handshake were not binding, but such is life and so are some people. But not most. I will trust (almost) anyone. Once. . . I am not stupid, merely trusting.
Sometimes I call myself a Druid. To be exact, a Reformed Druid. That means I can worship bushes as well as trees! I tend to find more spirituality in a redwood grove or mesquite bosque or kelp bed than in all the churches of all of Tucson.
I love to cook. It is my art form. My friends consider me a gourmet cook. Perhaps more a reflection on their impatience than on my skills, but still, I try. And I have fun. And in the occasional failure, I learn.
Speaking of friends, I have some. Old and new. I make friends rather easily and consider many people my friend. But Good Friends, just a few.
And to end this, what I would consider the best of epitaphs:
Here Lies Kipling's Thousandth Man.
Wow! That turned out to be long.
About you:
Impossible to say who would make a match. Perhaps similar in some ways; complimentary in others.
All the typical things of course; sensitive, intelligent, kind, gentle, fun, sexy, passionate, caring, etc etc.
A lady who may be good at cleaning trout but likes the door to be opened for her at the restaurant when they weren't biting. Someone who enjoys new places and new things and new ideas but has her toes firmly entrenched in tradition. Someone who can find fun and joy and laughter at almost any time or place. Who enjoys quiet evenings at home, loud accordion music, the symphony, and Willie Nelson cranked up above the sound of the Jeep jouncing along the trail while trying not to spill the ice cold Corona that has come to hand. And maybe bagpipes too.
Someone who loves road trips and plane trips and boat trips. Even when the road is washboard, the air bumpy and the seas running high.
Someone who realizes that after 3 or 4 decades everybody collects baggage. It makes us what we have become. That the art is not to discard it and thus lose part of your past. Instead, to have inspected it to the best of your ability, understand how and why it got there and what it means to you. And to have it nicely laundered, folded and neatly packed away, making it very easy to take along and to fetch things from your past when you need them again.
Someone who believes that the journey IS the point.
Oh yes. And someone who likes her neck nibbled on, too. That's an absolute must.
I should note that as of now, July 1, 2010, I have retired. No, I'm not close to rich, but I have enough for someone who needs little material worth.
I have a sailboat in San Diego. Perhaps I shall sail the world. Perhaps I shall sail the Pacific Coast and tweak my fly-fishing skills. In any case, I shall live my own life.
Care to join me?
