Date men and women from United States / Arizona / Paradise, 49 year old

Date men and women from Paradise, United States. As I write this I'm reminded that way back in 1984, I placed a personals ad in the Appeal-Democrat newspaper in the Marysville area. My very old-fashioned father thought I was insane at the time, while my mom may have thought I was "daring". Hmm, maybe I was just ahead of my time(?) Or, just plain shy(?) Today, I'm not necessarily shy; let's say "conservative"; certainly no game player. And it's difficult approaching a woman in the vegetable section... Just very much looking for the one woman right for me. I'd rather not live another moment without being part of a loving team that includes meaningful conversation and laughter and tears should there be any. Placing an internet ad hasn't necessarily worked for me in the past; but, it's so difficult waiting on God. And it doesn't work for me being anything but sincere...
The following may alienate many of you and that's okay because I'm looking for just one: One woman who can't live without me; and one whom I can't live without.
My first wife left me and later regretted it; how sad. Naturally, it was so hurtful separated from two young daughters and I worked through depression; part of which included writing a lot poetry. And it surprised me that I could write a poem or two. While I've written a lot of "garbage", I'll call them "exercises" which led to some very beautiful poems. And they're part of me which may lend some insight to the person I am today. The following includes poems written around 2004 with a brief explanation of how they came to be. I give our almighty Father in heaven credit for some so beautiful.
One entitled "Ever Roses;Evergreen" stemmed from waiting a very long time for some old friends to finish their business after giving them a ride to Wheatland. While passing time walking the neighborhoods, I noted the gorgeous roses so many folks seemed to care for in that town. There's a lot to the story; but, I decided to be at peace with myself after having been let down by a friend and not necessarily knowing where I'd be working or living next. In that peaceful moment I was able to write the following:
Old yellow roses; wind-tossed and swaying
About leaves, evergreen
The backdrop as your petals drop
A lovely scene
Making room for a new bloom
As you do so well
Whether in spring; whether in June
A timely farewell
With scent reminiscent
Of so many before
Knowing when to grow
Going with the flow, evermore
Old yellow roses; thinning and waving
Leaving evergreen leaves
Beauty fading, hardly worth saving
Bow, now, in the breeze . . .
I believe that beautiful things (and perfect things) are simple.
Surprisingly simple.
I wrote a poem called "It's a Beautiful Thing" after seeing a couple walk into a restaurant. They didn't look like Hollywood movie stars; but, there was something about them that spoke to me. They seemed to be perfectly suited for each other. I began writing the following:
It's a beautiful thing when two find one another
The commitment it takes; forsaking all others
Seeing it through the good times and the bad
Forgetting about the things one could have had
Remembering the past while betting on tomorrow
Embracing what lasts and letting go of the sorrow
Holding on to the pleasure while escaping the pain
No longer alone; finding the treasures in one day
Love is enough to carry us through the years
Creating abundance that stems fear and our tears
What's beautiful is togetherness and harmony therein
And the dutiful tenderness abounding in our children
Expectations become magic when surrounded by love
Consisting of sun despite persistent clouds above
Invest in the present and you'll hear without having been told
Love yours tomorrow and yesterdays will have been etched in gold
Together; we can fulfill our endeavors
We're intimate in the most inclement weather
It's enticing to see; the best is yet to be
The only thing more beautiful than two; is three ...
