I'm kind of multi-faceted on the career front: I'm a freelance Graphic Designer/ Professional Illustrator/ Web Designer and Co-Owner of Breathe, Drink & Design. Tucson's finest (and only) O2-Bar. Since I produce a lot of art to sell online, a lot of my artwork is inspired by pop-culture. In other words, I watch a lot of movies, tv, read a lot, play a fair amount of video games, and browse the internet regularly to stay on top of current fads and trends to sell more relevant artwork. But it's all work-related, so it's ok! ;)
It's not all couch-surfing, though. I do manage to make it outdoors, from time to time. I am a member of an MMA Gym. I train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing. Lately, with the business, I've been neglecting the gym, but only for about a month. Hopefully, I'll be heading back and getting hurt again in no time. Haha!
The person I'm looking for is someone that is... um... I guess I don't really know. I guess that I'm honestly just looking for someone that can get along with me and vice-versa. Someone that I can share some time and activities with. Someone passionate about something, especially life. Someone that laughs easily and often. And I could do with someone with a kind, but witty heart. I just don't want to feel that just because I'm getting older and busier, that I don't have the time to look for someone special and, above all, interesting. And that doesn't mean that I'm all about staying home and being boring. It just means that I'm over the ego and booze-fest that is the bar-scene.
Mostly, I just want to be able to have an interesting and meaningful conversation with someone again. Even if the conversation is only meaningful to us.
Meet a soulmate from United States. I'm an explorer and a risk taker. I don't want to give away too many details up front but I've done some unusual things to date in my life and anticipate that trend continuing. My freedom is currently more impeded than I'd like it to be but it's for good reason.
I am an entrepreneur. I've worked corporate jobs but they tend to inhibit my creativity and need to build things and explore. In the last year I've really gotten into sailing. I like the freedom and independence that it offers. I may buy a used sailboat to play with in San Carlos soon but my real goal is to have a 40-50 ft catamaran and sail from port to port, meet people, eat and drink good food and wine and enjoy life. I don't believe in waiting until retirement to enjoy life. That said, I am not one to shirk responsibility. I sometimes think I am addicted to problem solving and stress. I push myself hard. As a result, a lot of responsibility is pushed my way (sometimes I pull it).
That said, my default position is easy going and laid back. It seems like everything i do is an effort to get back to being laidback for myself, my family and friends. I believe the true joy in life is being silly with those you care about and the only way to get as much silly as possible is to be serious sometimes. I'm looking for someone to be silly and enjoy life with. I want kids some day, maybe soon maybe not, I have no preference. I do want to be in a position to take my kids with me on explorations and don't want kids just because that's "next". It's an enormous responsibility.
I'm certainly not perfect and don't care for people that think they are. I can work too hard and not take enough time for myself or friends. I can be bad at recognizing that. Ideally in a partner, I'd like someone to help balance me out. I'm not a drama person. I like to cook when I have the time. I like to take it easy. Life doesn't always have to be go-go-go.
I'm recently out of a longer term relationship that did not work out. I enjoy geeky things but also grew up playing sports - so don't be ashamed of nerdiness. Passion is attractive. Understanding why someone loves something is usually enough to get me to love it too. I'm a curious person and love learning. I don't enjoy judgmental or superficial people. I want someone who will slap me if I start acting that way. I want someone to keep me grounded. Someone who will not be intimidated by anything. I have great friends. I'm looking to get back into dating game and, at the very least, enjoy some good company! If I find ms right, even better!
