I have recently moved back to the US after many years abroad in Asia. While laying ill in hospital in Tibet last May, I decided to leave my career behind, move back to the US and come live in the middle of "nowhere", Arizona. It seemed like a good idea a few months ago... Nature, desert, communing with my spirit. It has been an interesting transition thus far... However, now I fear I may get bored here and do something that may land me back in prisonl... Just kidding, I have never been in jail. But I won't hold that against you if you have... maybe not. After all, some of the best tattoos seem to come out of prison... And its not like I said; "the asylum".
I have been blessed with an adventurous life and Love, Love, LOVE to travel. I am at about 38 countries and counting. Unfortunately, I have reached that point in life where I really want someone there with me. It is just not as fun as it used to be, traveling with friends or alone that is. That being said I am getting serious about getting serious. I want to settle in, find a complimentary soul to share my love and time with. I still want to have an action packed and fun life. But with a partner in crime.
I am still getting used to life here (in the US) AND the many nuances of dating, not to mention re-acclimatizing to the U.S. (did I mention that already?) I enjoy going out but consider myself fairly low maintenance in general. I am more of a quality vs. quantity kind of gal. Being on this site is like swimming in the ocean for the first time; so exciting but a little bit scary, as there are so many unseen variables at play. I am just praying the sane ones answer this ad.... Just so we are clear, I do not suffer from any "manias". I am not a cleptaomaniac, a pyro-maniac, a hoarder or hearing voices without bodies. It is not to say I don't have my baggage, but at this point in life i prefer to carry it in a small clutch purse rather than a suitcase I have to lug everywhere I go. I see this as a new adventure and am not really sure what to expect here. I really prefer seeing someone in person, as I get much more out of body language and tone of voice than meer written words. But for now, this will do.

What I'm Looking For
I would like to meet someone to go to cultural events, plays and the arts with. On the other hand, I am up for movies, adventures in nature and travel. I am only interested in single men please. I would love to meet someone who can teach me about romance and appreciates my sense of humor. Truthfully I am not really sure what i want. Honestly, somedays it just feels like sex is the answer and other days, I want to meet someone to settle in with. (Please note: I do not act on my impulse to randomly procreate)
If I can dream big, I would love to be with a man who believes in being positive, Social justice, diversity, communication, volunteering or working with charities. I find myself attracted to people who are kind, generous and level-headed. I am not really one to be impressed by "things" so much as by actions. Lastly, (and on a lighter note I hope) I prefer a man with more body hair than I... Therefore, it would be great if you do NOT wax or shave more than I do. A man who is higher maintenance than me? That is just wrong somehow and will very likely give me a complex. Hey I guess I want a man's man. A hardworking, maybe slightly disheveled, bundle-o-love! And sexy shoes can't hurt either! boots are sexy, even flip flops can be sexy.

I have a moderate sized family. I am the oldest of 4 girls, my dad died when he was 40, my mom lives in the same town I do. I was born and raised in Globe Arizona and grew up with all of my family/extended family always close by.
I most admire my grandma. I idolized her when I was growing up. She was the center of our family and really kept all of us close to her. She was one of those tough tough women who never asked for anything and she loved all of us very much. I am so thankful I had her as long as I did. She taught me alot about the kind of person I wanted to be.
I am most proud of my girls. They are 18 nd 14, and are the center of my world. They love me unconditionally, they dont care that I am not perfect. They make me realize every day how blessed I am and are a constant reminder of what life is really about, loving as much as you can with everything you have. They are such good kids, I feel like a good mom and hope I have given them the tools they need to go out on their own. I know they will both do great things.
I am an ER nurse and I love my job. I am so lucky to be able to have an opportunity to meet new people every day. My job is never boring and I never know what my day will bring. I have the opportunity to make an impact, to make a difference in peoples lives every day when I go to work. Not every one gets to do that.
My social life? I like to go out to dinner with my friends, and family, and we do it as often as we can. I like movies, listening to music, hiking, and I would like to travel more, I want to see all the pretty places.
My idea of a perfect date? dinner and a movie, or coffee in the afternoon(I am a coffeaholic), base ball game or basketball game. I like surprises, and I am open to trying new things! This is my year for lots of firsts!
I think I have changed alot in the last few yrs. I am re discovering myself and finding a happier me. I love giving hugs, love getting them. I love to cuddle and watch movies. I am learning to step "outside my box" more these days.

I was born in SD and raised (farm/ranch) in the Black Hills. I have been in AZ for a year, and absolutely love it here! I LOVE the outdoors, traveling, horseback riding (had my first horse at age of 2, and literally grew up on horses), fishing, hiking, flying (my oldest son has a Piper Cub), and I love people and adventure!
I have a very positive and upbeat personality, and enjoy making people smile and laugh, or just brighten their day = ) I like to load up my Great Dane, in my (her) Mini Cooper convertible, and go for a cruise, because it brings a smile to peoples faces (Was doing it long before Marmaduke came out, I think they stole my idea!)... Yes, I do have a serious side when called upon....
I have 2 grown boys, that I am very proud of, and I love dearly, that still live in SD, taught em' how to drive stick shifts, and mechanic (no, I don't mind getting dirty n greasey), it washes off!!!
