Date someone special from Portal, United States. I'm living the mountain life away from the rat race. There's far more wilderness and wild animals where I reside and I've somehow managed to relate better to them than most citified souls of the concrete jungle. I grew up in a big city and love to travel and explore the worlds cities, but my heart and soul are revived in the rural lifestyle. I travel southern arizona frequently and regularly visit Tucson so was looking to meet new friends preferrably that special someone but the harder I focus on that the farther it seems the possibility so would be very content with a sincere friendship. I work for myself and don't ever see that changing. I'm independent and "AZ wild n Free" could paraphrase my life and style. I'm a wildlife wrangler and small business owner but try to fill up my spare time helping the elders of my small community. I keep things simple and drama free. The fresh air, peace, endless adventures/new explorations, plants and animals keep my curiosity bubbling in my forest retreat. The stars and moon rises here are amazing but would be even better if I could share them......with you. My passions beyond wilderness and wildlife are raising my 6 year old son. I don't laugh enough and hope to find someone to not only fill that void but grow, discover and push ourselves on through the good life together hand in hand.

I grew up in the south, Louisiana, Alabama, etc., was in the Air Force from 1968-72, graduated from LSU in 1974 in Russian Language and Literature,moved to Houston, had a 24 year career as a stagehand (11 years with Houston Ballet-toured US, Canada, and China twice), moved to southeast Arizona in 2004. I live in a solar powered home on 40 acres of grassland with my German Shepherd Apache. I am a life long naturalist, and have led birding and natural history trips in Texas, Arizona, Mexico, Hungary, Costa Rica, Australia, and South America. I enjoy lots of different music, plays and musicals, and movies.I do not have TV, but I do like to watch movies on DVDs. I am fixing up two old cars, a Blazer and a Ford truck, I like to hike, and my current fascination is botany, especially native grasses, wildflowers, and trees. I actually live about 40 miles south of San Simon, near Portal in the Chiricahua mountains. Bisbee is fun for dining, walking, and window shopping. I work full time at the Southwestern Research Station near Portal. I am the Chief Maintenance person and Staff Naturalist. A big outing would be going to Tucson for Thai food or sushi, shopping, going to a botanical garden or museum, movie, etc.
I am looking for someone who is reasonably slim and attractive, intelligent, open minded, and fun to be with. No drama would be appreciated.
There are so many aspects of a great relationship, most of which take time to sort out, but I definitely feel that there can also be a spark between two people, which can make the sorting out of details just a feather in the wind.

Yet there are qualities that I feel important, the understanding of family and where you come from, the ability to be staight foward not only with others but yourself. To have an appreciation of music and the world of "The Outdoors". I feel that creativity is the compeling factor that gives us the ability to be who we are and create the arts of painting , writing, and playing music which I love. I can stand on my own but like a man who can take charge when needed. Im originally from Long Beach, where things are legal. My preference for music is R&B, reggae, hip- hop old school too. yet i grew up on meta oh yes Slayer and country too so go figure. I enjoy the nite time playing pool, watching a flick playing nitendo, going swimming,cooking, and just kicking it. In all reality i am looking for a man that has respect for himself and his lady, has some class and is a gentlemen. I just cant deal with a thug, a player, or a pimp so no need to apply. lol But I like the outdoors enjoy camping,shooting, hiking, or a nice nite with a couple of drinks under the stars. But dont get we wrong I like a good nite out and can dress to a hilt if thats the occasion. Yet Either way I like a man that can respect me. Im a fun loving person who likes to be a lil scarcastic yet can roll with the punches. Another passion above no other is I love to Paint espically murals in odd places and along in tow, i write poetry like no other and have a book in the making.
