Since I am a teacher and work with mostly women, it's kind of tough to date my coworkers. Hence, here I am giving this online thing a shot.
Here's a little bit about me. I am a former California girl who moved to Arizona 22 years ago. I am a single mom with 2 amazing kids, who are my main priority in life. They are 12 and 10 years old and they keep me young. I graduated from ASU with a BA in Early Childhood Education, and I enjoy teaching kids. I have been teaching for the past 18 years. I am a true Sparky fan, and enjoy going to ASU football games and other sporting events. I also enjoy movies, plays, traveling, restaurants, and any outdoor activities. I workout when I can, and I lead a healthy lifestyle. I am not a high drama girl. Life's to short.
Last December recieved my Master's degree from NAU (Go Lumberjacks!) . I am self motivated and secure with myself. I have a positive outlook on life and believe everything happens for a reason. My friends tell me I am quick witted with a sarcastic flare. I think it's the Irish in me.

I have an immature sense of humor (think South Park, Tosh.0, and Dane Cook) and love music (especially alternative, 80's and 70's). Favorite bands are R.E.M., Counting Crows, Travis, John Mayer, DMB, Damien Rice, and Coldplay. (hmm, these all have male lead singers...) I can "name that tune" and am known to have a song for every occasion. There's always a song in my head and everything I hear reminds me of another song. It drives my kids crazy.
I am honest, very hardworking, and have never been called lazy. I find that many people I deal with don't have the integrity that I do. I find that incredibly frustrating to work with those kind of people.
I can be very affectionate, passionate and giving to the right man. Love being interrupted just for a stolen kiss or hug. Want to hold hands in public. I'm also a "what you see is what you get" type. While I love my job and work long hours during the week, I would like to meet a special someone to spend time with during my “off” time. It’s hard to specify “what kind of guy I’m looking for” because I don’t have a particular type. I am somewhat on the independent side (sometimes to a fault, I’ve been told) and secure with who I am. Now about me...most would say I am very outgoing...definitely not shy but I am quite at times. (I do like to observe...people watching can be a bit entertaining!) I am very fun-loving, happy and I truly enjoy helping others and making them smile!! Ideally, I would love to meet a man and share the rest of our lives together!! But initially I'd just like to find a great guy that wants to hang out...get to know each other...have some fun!...see if there's any chemistry. (I do believe in that 'chemistry' thing!) If it's there, great! Let nature take its course! I love thunderstorms, playing in the rain, ball games (football, baseball), tennis, sand volley ball, BOATING! Harley's, home projects (yes, some I do myself! I think I was a carpenter in previous life.), weekend trips (travel in general), learning about other cultures, happy hour, good food, cooking for others (and cooking together can be very fun...and sexy!), great wine, interesting conversation, LIVE MUSIC( my taste varies here but not much of a fan of rap or hardcore heavy metal), love animals!, theme parks, (amusement parks are always a blast!) theater (musicals, plays etc...and no-you don't have to go with me!). Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! And yes, I always dress in costume, whether it's to go to work, to a party or just to hand out candy! I love to shoot pool too. (And there will be no pouting when I beat you in a game or two.) I do prefer a house full of family/friends having a BBQ/pool party versus going out to clubs. Actually I can't remember the last time I was at a club.
I don't feel I am a high maintenance woman. I can get ready to go out in about 30 minutes (unless I've been working out or it's a formal event...then I need a bit more time!). Whether I'm in jeans and a t-shirt or an evening gown...I am comfortable in my own skin. I am not a jealous person and will not put up with someone that is (it's caused by the lack of trust and if you don't have trust, what's the point?) My life is drama-free and I like it that way.
As for the type of men I'm attracted to...I like outgoing, confident men. Please note that this is very different from obnoxious and arrogant!! At the least he must be SINGLE, emotionally available, kind, caring, open and honest, a bit of a romantic, plays well with others and understands the Golden Rule and does his best to live by it! Physically I like tall men (6ft ), fit/active (not into the teddy bear type but a few extra LB's is not a problem)...don't much care about how much hair you have or don't have (I do like bald!) A man that takes care of himself...dresses nice, smells nice....puts forth a little extra effort when he's going to spend time with his lady! I also want to meet someone that already has a life! You have a happy, healthy life with family and friends that you want to share with your friends! That is what I have and I want to share it with my man. Allthough the majority of my DNA family is in Iowa, I have a great group of friends here that are my AZ family! (You do know that friends are family you choose!)
