I enjoy staying active and doing things like hiking, attending sporting events, yoga, working out, running, and riding the motorcycle. I do like my alone time but always welcome good company, even if it is just to hold my hand. I enjoy spending time at home and the simple things like a cup of coffee with a book on my balcony. I love traveling and sightseeing new places as much as revisiting old favorites. I have been a Pittsburgh Steelers fan since 1980. I love flying in helicopters but you will not catch me jumping out of a perfectly good airplane, or dangling from a giant rubber band. The short (near term) bucket list includes learning to surf, to snowboard, open water dive cert, get my ball to go straight on the golf course, running a half marathon, and completing half-triathlon.
I love the city, cities in general (NYC (fav), Miami, Tampa, Boston, Chicago, San Diego, and of course Phoenix!!), but am a suburb guy. I like going to off the beaten path places around town because it allows me to experience the diverse culture that the city has to offer. I have three books in the car glove compartment (besides the owners manual), Arizona Off the Beaten Path, NG Arizona Traveler Guide, and Arizona One Day Trips - because sometimes you just want to get in the car (or motorcycle) and go!
I am fairly neat, clean and organized, but can be a procrastinator. I am perfectly capable of doing my own laundry, ironing my clothes, and I love cooking, so you do not have to worry about being my mother. I am not crazy about talking on the phone because I prefer personal interaction, but will text away as it allows me to multi-task; with it's downsides (tone, emotions, etc) of course. I very much dislike boredom, traffic, dusting (but it has to be done), the cold (and being cold - but I can tolerate it), and rude people.
My most guilty pleasure is dark chocolate.
Who I am looking for: (I almost feel like the words to "Escape - the Pina Colada song" would be appropriate here) a companion to spend some time with who can enjoy the cup of coffee on the balcony as much as tailgating, a good run, or staying home to watch movies.
