Date people from United States. I've lived in the Boulder area for over 20 years and still love it. The area suits my healthy and active lifestyle. I also liking helping people and working with kids which is why I teach. So, I'm a guy who lives in the Boulder area who likes to exercise and be outdoors--what a surprise.
I enjoy going on social bike rides and hikes together. I also like dining out or cooking dinner together at home, going out to movies or renting, dancing (I swing and salsa dance), stimulating conversation, taking a walk in a park holding hands, or just hanging out at a coffee shop together. Also, don't want to forget catching a basketball or baseball game as well as a comedy show. So, like everyone, I'm looking for someone that is honest, communicates openly, and see the humorous side of things.
So, if you've read this far, you know what I like, so here's my best to convey what I am like. I know when to plan for the future, but I live in the moment. I'm cool in stressful situations. I'm comfortable with who I am. I'm a jeans and t-shirt type of guy, but I know how to dress for the occasion. I value my friends, family, and relationships. I'm independent and don't tend to do things because it's what everyone else is doing.
Meet men and women from United States. Well like i said looking for dating and maybe to see what happens in the longer run. Would prefer educated lady. Kids are okay as i have my own "not at home" and have been a single dad for a long time.
Date someone special from United States. Hi , my name is Michael and thanks for taking the time to browse .I am a very happy , modest , normal kind of guy. I act and feel and look 10 years younger than I am. My simple view about life is " to play the hand you're dealt" , and as such I have a good attitude about dealing with all life's little obstacles and adventures. I am grateful to have accumulated very little baggage to this point of time in life ( divorce included ) .
. I am a very artistic and creative person and i love to daydream about new inventions or artistic creations. If I had to do it all over again I probably would have become an architect or a starving artist !
I would like to meet someone who is mellow , witty , kind and compassionate. I regard myself as a gentleman , and chivalry on my part is a must. Hopefully you will be happy in your life , and excited about the new adventures that are just around the corner. I would like to meet some one who is stylish and feminine , ( but without the "bling" ) ! , some one who is just as comfortable dressed to the nines , as they would be sitting around a smokey camp fire.
My favorite sports are skiing and golf . I would love to go and see The Masters some time , so if you have any connections within the PGA , that would be great .My favorite sporting outing is to go to the Pepsi Center and watch the Nuggets ( even if they are all a bunch of overpaid thugs ). I recently went to my first Rockies game and I loved the whole experience , even though I still have a lot to learn about understanding the game. I am from Ireland and we don't really have baseball there.
I went to college in England , and played on the college basketball team - I used to think I was pretty good , but when I moved here to America , I saw how the game should be played and so now I have a much more modest opinion of my skills ! I still love
shooting around and playing one on one , but after a bad hamstring pull a couple of years ago I stopped playing in leagues.
I've been very fortunate to travel around the world , and if I didn't live here in Colorado I would like to have settled in Australia. Australians just have the best attitudes and approach to life and don't get too worked up about stuff.
Before Colorado I lived in Santa Barbara and that was a hard place to leave , but I still prefer living here.
In conversations I tend to prefer doing the asking and listening. I like Guiness , I like to people watch at airports , I love architecture and old castles , I like cold weather , and if my ship comes in I want to go to the winter Olypmics in Russia in 2014.
Ok now for the serious stuff. I am emerging from a recent divorce , a very healthy and civil one I might add ,unlike some of the horror stories that you hear about out there. My ex wife is a true lady and a great mother to our 8 year old boy. He is just a fantastic kid , the kind of guy who will be the defender of the weak against the school yard bully , and that makes me very proud.
My favorite movies are Caddyshack , Meet Joe Black , Braveheart , and the Shawshank Redemption.
Favorite tv shows : 60 minutes , The Good Wife and I should really seek out some kind of treatment for my addiction to the Discovery Channel !
Homeless people , panhandlers , and people who are down and out sadden me , and I always keep a stash of cash in my truck
and try to be as genorous as I can with such folk. I am no saint myself , but it is a good feeling to make a gesture of kindness to a stranger - I am a liberal in case you haven't figured it out yet !
And please , if I or some other guy sends you an email to introduce themselves take the time to respond : there are a million and one ways to politely say you are not interested .
Meet a man from United States. I just want to have fun. Play Golf, go snowboarding, camping, anything outdoors. Love going to concerts. Red Rocks is the best place I've ever seen shows, I love it there. Seen Stevie Nicks, Metalica, B52, Warp tours. I was in the skateboard, snowboard business for a long time. Still love it. More later.
Date a soulmate from United States. Here is where the line "what do you do" falls like water over the dam. When does that song that you cannot remember the name of really matters. I just like a heavy rhythm section like when Thievery Corporation gets in the groove. Or when Cold Play starts to quote The Scientist and the piano is a real piano. I like a quiet beach with the wind howling in my ears, if that makes sense. I like to make use of all my senses fully, sometimes to a fault. Let it rain and lightning rumble because there is no controlling that. I see a lot of need in the world. I think that bicycles are important and are never really all used up.
Meet single man from United States. When the zombie apocalypse comes, I'll be ready. Intimate knowledge of firearms and explosives? Check. Can run faster than the shambling horde? Check. Big enough to push the zombie out the door and lock it? Check. Smart enough to get the hell out of town? Check.
Yep. I'm ready. Now, I just need a side kick, a comic relief, someone to point out how stupid it is to look for my keys in the freezer.
Is it you?
