Date single man from Colorado, United States. First a little something about me personally: I am an avid outdoorsman, and am often found hunting, fishing, hiking, or camping in my free time. I love cooking and entertaining in my home. I am an amateur chef, so some of my best times in life have been with friends together in a kitchen. "Iron Chef" date nights with a god movie are some of my favorites have an 9 year old son and I love being able to spend time with him as he keeps me focussed on what matters in life!! One of my biggest regrets is that I do not have more photos of myself and of my son.. that is going to change! I love to laugh, and love to share bottles of wine with good friends telling stories both old and new and laughing until the tears roll down our faces. I try to find the good in life and celebrate it. I love to spend time finding new places to eat, and relax with my partner. I am just as happy at an art museum as I am spending a week hiking the Colorado Trail. I think that balance is key to life, and life is too short to be boring. Having said that, I am also very content just being in the presence of my partner and our family, relaxing and just being together. I am dedicated to travel, even if it is just a weekend trip to somewhere close by.

They need to be able to communicate and be honest about what they are feeling. They must be affectionate as that is a critical part of any romantic relationship. I learned a lot about myself through the process of divorce, and my expectations in future relationships. It is a sad thing when life hits us in the chest with unfortunate experiences, but it is how we rebound from those experiences that helps to forge our character. We can choose to be defined because of our experiences, or define ourselves in spite of them!! I am reminded of Theodore Roosevelt's "Common Man" speech: "Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat. " I guess that is how I am committed to living the next 40 years of my life. Although life may not be easy at times, I am looking for a partner who wants to seize life and live it with me.

I enjoy an entertaining movie, a good meal, (whether it is dining out or we make it at home together), a good book, a nice day out in the mountains, or a day together just hanging out at the house. I would consider myself honest, loyal (sometimes to a fault on both counts), hard working, funny, and a genuine good guy. I have my kids half of the time and I am the guy that coaches thier teams. If you don't like kids and sports we would probably not be a good match. I am comfortabe being by myself but it can't hurt to try and find that special person. I have no desire to go out and "clubing" anymore. That doesn't mean I don't like to go out and have fun, but it is quite the same as the "good ole" days of being in my 20s. In the last year I have ate sushi, ran a 7K, got a passport and traveled outside of the US. I have learned to appreciate the little things in life and appreciate the people that are important to me. I prefer beer to wine, seafood to steak, 60 Minutes to reality tv, and baseball to football. I like to ski, but it is not a passion. Recently, I have been trying to check off items on my bucket list but it seems to be growing, not shrinking. I would like to find someone share in some of those adventures. My list includes swimming with sharks on the extreme end to a hot air balloon ride on the tame end. I enjoy working out but my attitude has changed a little. I am trying new things to avoid the boredom of staring at someone's backside on the treadmill. I am in the middle of P90X2 and I want to try Crossfit as well. I believe in working out so that I can enjoy a drink and an occassional cheeseburger and feel guilty about it.
I need a friend first; someone that I can hang out with and have fun regardless of what we are doing. The person I am with should be a good role model for my kids. They don't need a mother, they already have one. I want to continue having new experiences. So we could both learn from one another that would amazing. I want to find someone that would go out to a concert on a Saturday night but be willing to have lunch at Chuck E Cheese on Sunday (with the kids or course, not my first choice). If you are not afraid to throw on sweats and a hat on the weekend, that wouldn't hurt either.
I think that dealing with kids on a regular basis has kept my mind and spirit young and in my profession, you must have a sense of humor to survive. Someone to laugh with and share stories would be great.

I like to stay fit by hitting a local South Denver bootcamp 4 hrs a week at 5 am (crazy). It alleviates the stress during the day at the office/laboratory (banging on computers for a aerospace company).
I spend as much time as possible with family/friends (Joyful!) and head up into the Rocky Mountains for winter trains and summer games. I'm a licensed pilot and think it would be fab to have a second career teaching others the sense of accomplishment and excitement of piloting aircraft.
I trained in the improv form of comedic acting (think 'Whose LIne Is it Anyone?') and spent two years performing at the SAK Comedy Lab in Orlando. Just a natural fit with my personality. I also spent a year in LA performing in USC/UCLA film projects and earning my SAG credentials for fun on TV and film sets. Do I have stories from the sets!

I write reports, summaries and final decisions but having to write about myself in this forum seems a little daunting. There is a lot of pressure to write about yourself well enough to attract someone else (hopefully your “match”) to you.
At any rate, I am a recently separated father and entrepreneur. I moved here ten years ago from Ohio and fell in love with Denver and Colorado. I am an avid baseball fan and although I am a Rockies fan my Cleveland Indians are still my team along with my Buckeyes (even though I went to Kent State) and my Browns. Although the process of separating is never pleasant I have enjoyed rediscovering many things that get lost along the way such as music and books. I enjoy traveling (for pleasure, sick of it for business), great company and am always up for an adventure. My work and my moves when I was younger have taken me to a lot of great spots throughout the country that I really enjoy going back to. When I travel I love to find the best of whatever that town has to offer as well as the whole in the wall bar that all of the locals hang out at.
