Meet single man from Colorado, United States. Well, here we go. After much consideration and procrastination, it looks as though the time has come to throw myself at this internet dating thing. I think this is the hardest part. Describing myself feels like a daunting task. Regardless I will do my best to give you an idea of who I am, my interests, and who and what I am looking for.
It all starts in small town Iowa… The year was 1972… yada yada yada , I’ll tell you all about that later if you want to hear it. Then at age twenty, I decided it was time to move west. (Telluride CO) I have found my new home here and over the years I’ve worked my way into a good position at my job. (Gondola maintenance, Telluride) I’ve purchased a nice house in Rico, and I have a cool cat to keep me company on those long winter nights. “it’s the American dream ,right?” Well, not really. Something is missing….. Friendship, a companion, or shall we say, a partner in crime. Hence all this “jibber jabber” (thanks Mr. T).
As far as the things I’m interested in and enjoy doing, this is a partial list: I’ve been into dirt bikes and motocross racing since I was about thirteen years old, but I’m feeling a bit older and fragile these days so this sport is starting to slow down. About six years ago, in the search for a little lower impact sport I discovered river rafting and now this is a huge pastime for me. I love it! Also I recently discovered the sport of canyoneering and have been getting quite involved in that. I also really enjoy expedition four-wheeling to remote locations. The kind of places you won’t see anyone for days. Away from the masses are my favorite places. Once there, I enjoy hiking or mountain biking, or just hangin’ out by the campfire kickin’ back with an ice cold (adult) beverage while dinner cooks in the dutch oven. The list goes on but hopefully you’re getting the theme… outdoors, camping, rafting, hiking, adventure.
Hmmmm, now for what I’m looking for in a partner. Obviously, I’m looking for the adventurous type. Someone spontaneous and into trying new things. Someone not so tied down with their work that they can’t get away and enjoy life (though I do understand careers are important). Someone who likes to have a part in the decision making, if you know what I mean. I’m looking for a woman who can hold her own, who is emotionally stable, and is confident in herself. Meet a soulmate from Colorado, United States. I grew up in Germantown, Tennessee and then moved out West right out of high school. I lived in the mountains of Colorado and Arizona, and on the California Coast. I've really tried to experience life and have had lots of different types of jobs. I've been a radio DJ, a commercial seafood diver boat Captain. I also managed restaurants and night clubs, and supervised the set-up of lots of music festivals. About 14 years ago moved back to Tennessee to help my Alzheimers Mom.
I travel around the region teaching at different colleges on weekends love to explore. I have had my own business selling cars, boats, planes and other items on the internet plus teaching for many years various other little enterprises. Since returning to Tennessee, I have also become involved with lots of volunteer, church and missionary work to Mexico, Spain Sumatra. I've been spending Summers living in Rico working for the music festivals in Telluride, Colorado for the last few years.
I'm looking for a long-term relationship leading to marriage. Someone who's company I enjoy and who likes spending time with me is the main thing. Just about everything else is negotiable. My Mom passed, so I will likely be spending more time out West and hope to eventually settle in Southwest Colorado. And I am off to Borneo for two weeks on a medical mission to Borneo this Fall.
