I love music and I play in a local band here in Denver - no I'm not telling you which one just yet :-) I listen to and appreciate all types of music, from Debussy to AC/DC to Easy-E. Just because I stumble when telling a joke doesn't mean I don't have a wicked, sharp sense of humor. Just because I tend to be reserved doesn't mean I won't talk your ear off, or say something that will leave you in stitches. I'm creative, always up for fun and I am a pretty good listener. I'm not perfect, but then I don't expect perfection, either.
What else? I like to make breakfast on the weekends. I am a fanatical devotee of words, poetry, music and lyrics, and might bore you with my explications of the themes of some tune or writing that I ingested somewhere. I do not suffer fools or hypocrisy gladly. I tend to root for the underdog. And although I enjoy watching a good game, I generally don't care about professional sports too much.
I'd like to meet someone witty, compassionate, independent, articulate and attractive. Intelligence turns me on. You should enjoy conversation, banter, music and enjoy having fun at a moment's notice. You should be curious about the world, and our place in it. You should be amused by absurdity. You should be stylish, not fashionable. You don't have to be a supermodel, but you should be active enough to keep up with me... I do love to sweat and I like to get outside. i'm looking to make connections with people...ya finding a new friend or a new lover would be great...a soulmate/life partner--even better. but more than anything else, i'm just interested in experiencing some different people. too often we can paint ourselves into a corner with expectations and prejudices...i'm experimenting with being more open and open to possibilities: not only when it comes to dating, but life in general.
i'm way better as a "relationship guy" than a cold-calling "dating guy"--i know that's one of the big reasons i'm still single. i've never been greatly skilled at approaching strangers and all that preliminary hibbity jibbity. but you will find i'm a great conversationalist, a great listener, a pretty awesome guy. i crack people up just as easily as i can invite people to explore deeper into themselves or whatever subject we're discussing. i'm just as interested in subjects both sacred and profane. i'm interested in honesty, pursuing truth, and getting to know who people REALLY are. i wear my heart on my sleeve and am most comfortable with people who are at least willing to experiment with the same.

I recently moved to Denver from Hawaii, (I'm not crazy, it happens, really!) I wish I could say the whole time I was a beach bum, lazing under the palm trees, living on mangos and coconuts... yup... I really wish I could say that. Sadly, I had and office and a real job. Of course I am kidding I am very motivated and have just been lucky to live in some fun places. Read the next paragraph carefully...
I AM NOT…… current but I am a travelfan and if you add 303…. I could be found where some cowboys may scream the word or it could possibly be considered a shout of joy…... i of course wish I was on wire but this spot may be a good place to begin to at least initiate a conversation and we can go from there.
Prior to Hawaii I was in Thailand, Indonesia, South Africa, Japan and Guam. It was exciting, at times exasperating, and occasionally dangerous, but overall it was all an amazing experience.
I spent most my formative life growing up in Thailand, Indonesia and South Africa. It was a unique upbringing. Despite my family being in RI, we are close and see and communicate with each other often. My sister lives with her family and my nephews in Dubai Saudi Arabia but the internet keeps things together and we all stay in touch pretty well.
I enjoy all the usual stuff you find on most profiles. Outside the standard: I do look for great experiences and will splurge when needed. I enjoy local travel and will think nothing of heading anywhere, particularly in driving distance, on short notice since I love to drive. I will attend and appreciate symphonies and museums although not usually on my own. I have divergent musical tastes from the awesomeness of Sinatra to Jazz and rock and obscure stuff from all time periods. I have good Nuggets season tickets, (although only make it to half the games.) I cook when motivated and make Denver's best Lemon Drop and Mai Tai. Full disclosure, I have vices: I enjoy street food, (hot dogs in particular), I walk fast, enjoy Vegas, use Quicken and like stuff historical. Think those are about it, but could be huge deal breakers for many, so we can save the shock and horror now.
I love the Fall and I am looking forward to lots of snow and a long Winter ski season, (Hey… I spent 15 years in the tropics, don't hold it against me.) So far this season is looking promising with a few Vail and BC weekends booked, good concerts, loaded ski pass and wine fests on the schedule. Solo or otherwise I am considering a trip to the Caribbean, just need to decide which "St. Somewhere" to visit. I am thinking of a overseas trip for the Spring. I did enjoy CO. this summer with RR concerts and Telluride Film and Jazz festivals. Made it to Durango and visited the family in Rhode Island. The Summer passed quickly; but Winter Season really has it all.
Ok... you read this far. All kidding aside here's the bottom line. I am in a place where I am comfortable, enjoying life and my career is going very well. I living well, debt free and frankly just looking for the right partner. Have been very close before and yes I may be picky and definitely know what I am looking for. i won't hit on you in a bar, (rare to meet quality except by chance), or a club as they are not my scene. I am on Match as it is a way of meeting people I would never come across in real life, and I have no issues, phobias, medications or any other reason to be here except to meet the right person.
Getting out and being active is fun but usually more so with somebody to share it with. So if you are a positive person and enjoy trying new things, it would be fun to get to know you.
