Date men and women from United States / Colorado / Steamboat Springs, 56 year old

Date men and women from United States. Just moved to Steamboat Springs to work with and a nonprofit art museum. New town, new life, looking forward to it. Was employed in the arts in Jackson Hole for the last eight years. Jackson was home most of the time since ’88, my prior life having played out in Denver, SF, LA, Chicago, etc. My time there was spent predominantly in creative pursuits, having helped run a theatre company for six years starting in '88, then being the marketing director at the Grand Teton Music Festival for five very cool years during the '90s. I care deeply about and believe in the arts. I love being involved in theatrical productions in any role, but particularly as a performer.
Having been a certified official since 1976, I still work as a referee for amateur ice hockey (far fewer games than in the past). I have trained as an actor and voiceover artist, love quiet and an easy pace (better with a partner...), playing native flute in the wilds, and cuddling at sunset (or any time, for that matter…). And, I love my son and daughter, who live with their mom in Denver.
I am a complete gentleman with a big heart and an intimate, compassionate nature. I have not lost my fire, nor my unconventional nature, and I communicate and relate extremely well with women. Experience does have its benefits.
I seek a companion to share dreams with, an intimacy that allows for true partnership and love. My partner is smart, compassionate, happy, successful, healthy, has strong opinions and likes to share them, is physically fit and beautiful, emotionally mature, sexually energized, a smart-ass who loves to bust my chops (essential...), laughs at anything, doesn’t take herself (or me) too seriously, loves to dance, is firmly grounded in her own identity, commands my respect through her big heart and strength of character, loves the arts and embraces creativity, and likes to canoe. Other than that, nothing in particular… Mostly, I'm looking for my best friend and lover. I wish you the best of luck in your search for love.
ABOUT MY PICS: I really don't have many shots of myself, so this is the best I can do. Some are pretty recent. I'm no cowboy, obviously. I've ridden twice in the last eight years, an all-day ride with a buddy in 2003, and a local cattle drive a couple of years ago. We "helped," mostly by staying behind the herd (not the best view...) and out of the way. The acting shots are all from work I did in Jackson, and go all the way back to '89. They're from The Rainmaker (Bill Starbuck, '89), Harvey (Elwood P. Dowd, '92) and Frankenstein (The Creature, played twice, '91 and '95-this shot)

Meet a man from United States. I'm a CPA in a nontraditional sense. After working in the tax department of a Big 8 accounting firm for seven years, I started a fee based investment management company 27 years ago. I'm fortunate in that I can work and live anywhere I wish and generally split my time between Colorado, Kansas City and Lake of the Ozarks in central Missouri where I boat and fish. That said, it's simple, I'm a low maintenance guy, independent, self made financially, patient yet totally intolerant of self induced drama. Confident and decisive sans the arrogance and egotism. Time is so precious and short.. So, let's go skiing, hop on the bike, grab the trekking poles and get on with it. My perfect lady is someone who loves the outdoors as much as I do, who isn't fearful of driving a boat, tearing down the lake on a jetski, or taking a dawn to dusk hike to fish an alpine lake. Someone who loves adventure and isn't afraid to try something new or challenging - note I didn't say stupidly dangerous.. If you spend all day on the green runs of life and never reach for more, you probably are not part of my destiny. Thanks for reading. Selectively, I will provide a current photo upon request.

Makes a good teacher. seems quiet and . has a very creative side. good with animals. loves watching and playing sports. Also likes the arts . would like to be able to travel as time and work allows.
I am initially looking for a long distance relationship via email and telephone due to the somewhat remote location of living in the mountains. However, I travel to the Denver area frequently.

Date people from United States. I am a gentleman looking for a sweet lady to share good times with, to open doors for her, make her laugh, entertain her and hold her hand in my arm as we walk. A companion to escape the stresses of life with and have fun!
My goal is to enjoy life and have the right woman beside me. I am searching for a sweetheart with a sense of humor and spontaneity. She enjoys the outdoors, barbecues, movies, quaint restaurants, romantic surprises, snuggling, road trips and more. We smile when our eyes meet. We share tidbits of affection in public. She's a "Tootsie" that frolics as we prepare dinner together. Sometimes we laugh till we cry! We share our feelings and are loyal best friends. She rests her head on my chest with my arm around her keeping her safe. We will enhance our lives by sharing fun experiences. We will appreciate our relationship through, independence, attentiveness, caring, mutual respect and support. I will give her my hand, advice, security and strong shoulder when she needs it. She provides me her amazing woman's opinion, makes me want to hold her, smell her, taste her, caress her, kiss her, care for her and treat her like a lady.
Me? It is not easy to describe yourself because you can seem too modest or too self-confident. Nobody is perfect, I also have my merits and demerits. Friends say I have a good sense of humor, am hardworking, have good character, and am a very giving supportive person. I am always ready with a quick joke and friendly hello. I smile and laugh easily - it makes life so much better. I appreciate honesty, responsibility, loyalty and a positive character. I am a patient, stable, dependable, common sense type of person with an impetuous, adventurous, fun loving side.
I always respond to e-mails. Let's correspond in writing, arrange to talk on the phone or Skype, then if we feel a connection . . . meet.
Hugs and Smiles,
John

Meet single man from United States. Hi, I'm an active, intelligent, dog owner with a wide variety of interests. I'm self-employed, financially secure and have a lot of free time on my hands.
I’ve had a number of occupations, Tennis Professional, Options Trader, Attorney and now an Independent Financial Consultant. I love my job, well these days at least most of the time and I’m pretty sure it’s my calling. All aspects of my job are done online and these days that means I can work from anywhere I have a cell signal.
I’m also a bit of a nonconformist, my mom used to call me a “maverick”, and I think that suits me. Please though, don’t think of me and John McCain in the same mold. I lean towards the liberal end of the political spectrum.
I am a voracious reader, as my job requires me to be very well informed, though these days my reading consists of mostly news and current affairs. I’ve been told I’m articulate and a good conversationalist and communication of all sorts is one of my strengths. I’m not one of those guys who run for cover when the topic turns serious or somewhat uncomfortable and hopefully after many years of introspection I have a good feel for my strengths and weaknesses, though self realization is an ongoing process.
The flexibility of my occupation allows a lot of time for travel, one of my favorite things to do. I’ve covered a lot of ground, though there is always plenty of ground left to be covered. One thing I have learned is a great experience is not really about where you are, but whom you are sharing it with. I’m usually up for any adventure, some favorites are, anything International, road trips across the US, any nice beach or adventure travel. I’ve been to much of Europe and I’m feeling like some journeys to Central, South America and Indonesia would be nice.
At one time I was a highly ranked tennis player, but numerous injuries and surgeries put an end to that. Though not what I was, I’m still pretty good and I try to stay active. I love to hike (still pretty fast), cycle (not so fast) and I try to work out on a regular basis (yoga, Pilate’s and weights). I was a pretty good skier but the last few years life kind of got in the way, but if it’s an activity my partner want’s to share I’m in, just be patient while I work my way back. Of course there are all the other winter activities, cross country, snow shoe, snuggling by the fire and most importantly the trip to the hot springs. We have a few great ones here in Steamboat, my favorite, Strawberry Hot Springs.
If you’ve looked at my pictures it’s probably clear my Lab Murphy is the better looking of the two of us. Yes my life is dog hair, but I wouldn't have it any other way. We’re a package deal.
I’m originally from Chicago, the Lincoln Park area and still a big Bears, Cubs and Bulls fan. I grew sick of the weather and hassle of the city and I moved to Arizona in 1992. I’m in love with the West and I’m lucky to be able to have homes in Tucson and Steamboat. As I said my job gives me total flexibility so I can be in either location at any time, or for that matter just about anywhere.
About the only thing missing, well besides a new back, is someone to share life with.
So what am I looking for? Like most of us here I guess I could just list all the qualities I’m looking for in a partner, but I’m not really looking for a list, I’m looking for a human being and my experience has taught me we are all pretty complex. If you’ve read my profile I hope you have a pretty good idea of my lifestyle and interests, but finding a partner is not just as simple as creating two lists that match up.
Of course I want someone who is intelligent, fit and fun but really I’m looking for a feeling. The feeling you get when you look in your partners eyes and know this person and I have a deep connection and we are lucky to have found each other. In other words I'm not just looking for a fling, but a best friend and the real thing.

Meet a man from Steamboat Springs, United States. I am a intelligent, confident, easy going man new to the dating world. I hope to find someone with common interests who is smart, feminine, athletic, and is happy with herself and her life. I am self sufficent, know how to cook, clean, and take care of myself, so you don't have to be my mother. Friends and co-workers would describe me as easy going, laid back and easy to be around. I am indoors during the work week so I enjoy being active after work and on the weekends. A lifetime of activity has kept me fit and my appearance is much younger than my actual age. I also try to be young at heart and am open to new experiences and adventures. I don't have a picture to upload since I am using the library computer. I am tall, slim, and athletic with all of my hair.
