(I took a new position with the company I work for). I’m a field service technician for an instrument manufacturer. My job keeps me away from home most of the week, but I make my own schedule so when I’m dating someone I try to spend more time at home. I enjoy all the travel but it can be exhausting.

I over-analyze things. I'm 5'9.5" and debated whether to round up or under promise and just barely over deliver. I'm honest. I'm a fighter: I will fight for you, but not with you. I successfully walked into a division one college athletics program surrounded by full scholarship athletes and made nationals my freshman year in a sport I had never attempted just because everyone said it was impossible. I am shy and tend to ramble (or write run-on sentences) when I get nervous. I write poems, but rarely share them. Opening up to strangers terrifies me (even more than public speaking). I have inadvertently hurt people I care about and cannot emphasize the power of the words: "I'm sorry." I have also been hurt enough times that I stopped counting. I will never fully comprehend the power of a good hug - it always seems to amaze me. I learn from experiences and mistakes and love who I am. This paragraph is the most difficult thing I have had to do in a very long time.
Who I'm looking for: my other half with whom I GET to spend hours with while thinking it's only been a few minutes. Someone that accepts me for me and can still tell me my wardrobe needs help. I know we all have baggage so I am not seeking perfection - just perfect for me. I don't understand the purpose of looking for the worst in a person or pushing their buttons to bring that side out. I hate when my friends say they can't do something because they HAVE to go home to their girlfriend or wife / kids - we should all be so blessed. You should be able to encourage me, impress me, make me laugh 'til I cry, and [eventually] be capable of saying "I", "love" & "you" in one sentence and actually mean it. I am looking for someone that expects the same from me. You should have dreams, goals, and routines and be able to share all of them often (or at least good stories about them). If you like camping, bonus. If you don't wear excess make-up or too much perfume, double bonus. If you can walk into an adult store and ask the clerk if they sell "$5 footlongs" with a straight face, you're my "hero" - pun definitely intended (although we usually say "sub" or "grinder" back home - not "grindahh" - my accent's a bit weak these days).
Together: we should be able to face our fears head-on and gift-wrap the world. Going out, choosing a restaurant or curling up on the couch to watch a movie should not be an effort or argument. I can cook & clean up or let you (or take turns: one cooks, the other cleans) - as long as we get to do the shopping together. Toilet paper goes over the top and "squeeze tube from bottom / flatten as you go up" are rules to live by - sorry, but these are deal-breakers. Joking aside: we should never give up on making this world a better place.

I moved to CO. in 2006 and have absolutely loved it. I am a firefighter and truley enjoy what I do. I enjoy going out to eat, and having some drinks, going to sporting events, or even just watching them on TV. I like trying new things, or going to new places. I also like just dining in and hanging out at home. Friends would say I am very easy going, and love to have a good time. Of course my friends at the firehouse would also say things to embarrass me.
