Sometimes it takes having bad experiences, poor luck to find out who you really are, and what you're really after. I can say that I have had my fair share of the above but still am very optimistic that there is someone out there. On the other side, I have met some incredible people over the years as well. Its very interesting to me that you can get along with someone so well, but yet they are not the right fit for you as a partner in crime.
Why is it that we pray for things to happen, and when they don't, your first thought is it wasn't answered? Being the optimistic person that I am, I feel that it was, and maybe that situation is not good for you. The key to life is to have patience. You may not know the answer now, tomorrow, a month or even a year from now. But, when you look back at the most difficult decisions you have had, or had to make in life, they are the ones that shape you.
I would say my best quality in life is my patience. Having said that, I am not going to settle in life. I would much rather go home and be happy by myself, than go home and wish you were by youself.
I have been fortunate to have been raised in a hard working, blue collar family, where they have had to work for every dime they have. I believe in hard work, going the extra mile, taking the time to open doors for strangers, randomly smiling at others when they look emotionally down, helping change the tire for the struggling person on the side of the road, picking up a friend at the bar in the middle of the night so you know they got home safe, random acts of kindness and of course never asking for anything in return. Having been raised the right way, you help your neighbor regardless of how well you know them.
Joklng, laughing and being sarcastic is what I'm about!! I like to find the humor in any difficult situation I'm in. Sometimes bringing sarcasim in the situation can be the best medicine. Being able to laugh at yourself is a must. I am not the type of person that freaks out when I lose my wallet, car keys or even my jet black dog in the middle of the night thinking it was a good idea to let her off the leash with absolutely no moon light. :) Life is too short to worry about what others think, what car you drive, what you do for a living or the clothes you wear. I believe in taking care of the items you work hard for, eventually trading up for bigger and better, but understanding when enough is enough.
Just be you, and the right person will come into your life.
