Date men and women from United States / Colorado / Buena Vista, 55 year old

Date people from United States. I am the sort of fellow who is very self-sufficient, and I do quite well living alone and finding numerous different ways to keep myself entertained. Surrounding myself with good friends is a big part of my life. But I thrive even more when placed into the company of a lady with whom I can develop true and lasting chemistry. To paraphrase Jack Nicholson from the movie "As Good as It Gets," being around such a special lady tends to make me want to be a better man, and to pay closer attention to the way I live my life with a view toward putting the happiness of that lady first and foremost after my own. My Grandfather taught me that was his secret to a perfect marriage, and based on everything I've seen and done in this life, I believe he was right.
So: Travel (been to 20 countries so far and have a list of about another hundred I'd love to visit), tennis, skiing, tennis, boating, tennis, ATVing, tennis, motorcycling, foosball (I have a killer front-shot and worked most of my way through college making bets on it), and, did I mention?, I also like tennis a lot, too. Spending Sunday mornings in a nice hot jacuzzi bathtub, reading the New York Times front-to-back, which I love especially when it's raining. Reading, mostly non-fiction. Films of just about all shapes and varieties other than horror. Always looking for new business opportunities outside the legal profession, having been an attorney now for 30 years (I started when I was 19); but they have to be FUN as well as being profitable.
Looking for a special lady to be my life partner, best friend, and co-world-adventurer as we pillage, uh, sorry, casually travel our way through the tons of interesting places and things that the Whole Wide World has to offer. The two most important things of all: SPONTANEITY and LAUGHTER. Lots and lots of LAUGHTER! I'm not much of a fan of endless dating site e-mail exchanges that seem to ping-pong back and forth forever without ultimately going anywhere; if you're intrigued or curious after reading this profile, and want the same thing I want (namely, to find a rest-of-your-life partner), then by all means, let's talk first, and if that leads to a sense of great chemistry, let's then turn words into action by picking a time and place for lunch or dinner. Lady's Choice, for your very favorite restaurant of all time, even if it happens to be in San Francisco, or, ESPECIALLY if it happens to be in San Francisco!
At the moment, I find myself living in a very small town; Buena Vista, Colorado had about 2,200 people a hundred years ago, in 1912, and it has about 2,200 people now, a hundred years later. I suspect that some of them may even be the same people. This is decidedly NOT a hotbed of dating activity or, for that matter, a hotbed of much of any kind of activity at all, really. And certainly not a great place to meet new people. Fortunately, my profession dictates that I do a lot of court appearances all around the State, a lot of which are in and around the Denver and Colorado Springs areas, as well as in California, where I practiced for 20 years before moving here about 10 years ago. Am currently giving some thought to picking up and relocating to my favorite city of all, San Francisco, but overall I eventually tend to end up living wherever I'm happiest. If by chance I happen to meet a wonderful lady here in Colorado who, for some reason or another, absolutely cannot tear herself away from living here, or hates San Francisco, or whatever...well, as I said, I do tend in the long run to plant myself wherever I find true happiness, and right now, finding the right lady for a lifelong romance that will burn bright from now until eternity ranks very high on my list of priorities.
My name is Gary, but my friends all just call me "G". If you've read this profile this far and have found it intriguing, by all means please drop me a note. I travel a lot but do my best to answer anyone who writes promptly.

Meet single man from United States. I enjoy the work I do, and my philosophy is basically, "Work Hard, Then Play Hard." I love travel and going to see new things and meet new people. Boating and tennis were my two favorites this past summer, followed closely by 4-wheeling in the mountains. Now that winter's here, its snowmobiling and skiing. I've been practicing law since I was 19 years old, and still love the thrill of it all. My ideal match would be a lady with class, one who can be equally comfortable in blue jeans as well as in the proverbial Little Black Dress. Most importantly, she needs to have a terrific sense of humor. It has always been my firm belief that the ability to laugh through both good moments as well as the few bad ones that come along is a necessity in life. On a scale of 1-to-10, the special lady I'm looking for would have about a 9.5 in the Ability-to-Laugh Scale. Right behind a sense of humor would be a love of spontaneity. Anyone who says that jumping on a plane with only 15 minutes' advance notice and flying to San Francisco for brunch is overrated just hasn't ever done it before.
