Meet a soulmate from Buena Vista, United States. Hello and thanks for taking time to read this. Every morning when I awaken in the Rockies, I am reminded that beauty is a common occurrence. What is uncommon is the chance to make a special connection with places and people along the way. Through a life spent creating and sharing skills/talents with others, it has been my good fortune to be open to those souls who compliment the path and learn much from them. I haven’t had a ton of travel experience beyond the western US, but would love to share places like Europe, NZ, or THE OCEAN with the right person. It’s not that I’ve been holding out or saving myself, it’s just that Colorado is a hard place to leave for long.
Although once described as an "unapologetic nerd", I seldom veg for long and won't play wii for exercise. A youthful 56, I have a long history as a pretty good skier, mtn biker, hiker, climber as well as fly fisher, and have competed in, instructed or coached all of them.
Art is the driving force in life and I find nutrition in the creativity of others. My works are windows to dreams. If you’re my dream, you will be painted with or without the pedestal. My style is classical, Western, surreal and have had my work described as “Jesse James meets Salvador Dali.”
It's essential to be open to the new as well as the traditional. In recent years, I’ve tried snowboarding (ouch!), authoring, and mentoring. A fair chunk of my time each week goes into helping others less fortunate. I have a heartfelt belief in the power of optimism and honesty, but am known to be tricky around birthdays and holidays. I love to make time for a cup of tea on a cozy movie night, vital social events (Yours, mine, and ours), a travel/shopping adventure, or lazy mornings of sunbeams and rumpled sheets. None of it feels like wasted time, something I was quite familiar with when younger. For me, this means that I have learned to live a sober, creative life and wine tasting is not on my list of interests, but it certainly can be on yours.
Still with me? Cool.
My parents raised me to be an eloquent listener (most of the time), to open doors for my partner, and to be fearless in problem solving when they arise.
But enough about me,...... let's talk about you.
Are you secure in your life drive? Are you fit, motivated, and dreaming? Do you like to take big bites, while knowing what each piece of silverware is for? As invigorated sliding off a chailift as being front row at a concert hours later or helping to cook dinner with friends? As enthused skiing double blacks as in a little black dress at an Art Gala? As invigorated by the weight of a pack on your shoulders as a deep kiss on your neck? As comfortable posing with just the radio on, as showing me how to better interact with your parents or kids? Believe you can hear snow falling or love to see your breath? Do you believe that sharing talents and dreams with your partner makes them more real?
If you are drawn to the high country and would like to open a door, I look forward to a reply. My intention here is to make a kindred connection and see what grows, to see if the alpenglow reflects in your eyes like it does in mine.
