Meet someone special from Palo Alto, United States. Well, I'm pretty sure a paragraph isn't enough to really describe anyone, so I'll just give some highlights that I consider pretty indicative of me.
I'm a scientist. I have a PhD in biology, and I am doing post-doctoral research in a cancer biology lab at Stanford. Now, I know the whole "scientist" thing can conjure up some negative connotations, but I'd like to assure you that I'm actually a decently well-rounded person. In my (all too limited) free time, I usually try to find myself outdoors. I'm an enthusiast of both hiking and skiing above most all else and only wish I could do both more often. Second only to the outdoors is my love for music. I play a bit (not spectacularly), listen more or less constantly throughout my day, and am a huge fan of seeing live shows (though I try to avoid bands where it just seems like the singer is yelling at me).
I'll choose a low key bar with good beer over a dance club in a hot second. I bake really elaborate cakes for friends and coworkers on their birthdays. I like movies, but almost universally dislike romantic comedies. And, my most frequently complimented feature is my laugh, which is in a word, boisterous.
Now, I don't consider myself a "glass half empty" kind of girl, but I think its easiest for me to list some deal-breakers instead of "what I'm looking for." So, here goes. Please don't bother with me if you:
1) Are a republican. No joke.
2) Have seen or read any of the Twilight series, or chose a side in the whole Team Edward v Team Jacob battle. No excuses.
3) Don't like dogs. I don't own a dog at this point, but I think not liking them is a character flaw.
4) Want to settle down, get married, live in a house with a white picket fence, 2.5 kids and a minivan. Sorry, but I'm quite a lot more unconventional than that.
5) Don't like to be outdoors as much as possible.
6) Wear skinny jeans. One of the worst trends in men's fashion ever. Maybe even worse than Hammer pants. Sorry hipsters.
7) Are intimidated by smart women.
8) Don't read books. Real books. Like, novels.
Is that picky enough? Probably. That said, I'm pretty adventurous.

Meet a girl from Palo Alto, United States. I'm a native Californian, raised by New Yorkers, and have lived and studied abroad. I finished my PhD in Jewish history (yes, it is as thrilling as it sounds...) and teach at a university. My friends know me by my smile, distinctive giggle, and warm, yet occasionally snarky personality. I am silly and sarcastic but also driven and direct. I'll act like a fool to make you laugh, but can also hold my own at dinner parties and can speak in front of lecture halls. I love good food, great conversation, and a good sense of humor. I've had many chances to travel, but I still have many places I'd love to go. Oh, I'm also a great cook.
I'm looking for a guy who likes to laugh, cook (or eat), and is adventurous, ambitious, and passionate. I'm looking for my partner--not my other half. If you're looking for a girl who has no interest in games or drama, who is independent but has a lot of love to give, send me a message. I'd really like to hear from you. My dream guy is smart, funny, and lets me be me. I'm looking for a nice Jewish guy who wants a smart, funny, and sometimes nerdy girl who loves to laugh. He wants to travel but not as a tourist, eat where the locals go, have deep conversations or mock the latest pop star, watch silly movies, and have adventures. My dream guy isn't perfect, but he's happy with who he is.
Date single girl from Palo Alto, United States. I'm originally from Pennsylvania, and have attended school in the east coast. I am looking for someone like-minded, from a similar upbringing. I have traveled to many places, and am planning to travel more. I seek someone with an open mind who will not judge other cultures, and will enjoy humbly traveling through countries.
Please note: I'm really unsure why if you do not prefer to date my race (east indian), you are winking at me and messaging me.... If you have strict racial preferences and have some issues with Indians, you shouldn't be messaging me. This applies to caucasians males, no offense.
