Okay lets be slightly more serious. If you're reading this it's probably because I've sent you a message and you are now attempting to determine whether or not I merit a reply. My advice would be to reply. Personally, I think I'm awesome. The reason I sent you a message was probably because I saw in you potential for an intellectually kindred spirit. Someone who might be willing to talk for long hours about world events, politics, symbolism in disney movies, old movies, good sci-fi, bad sci-fi, how Ravenclaw is clearly infinitely cooler than Gryffindor, psychology, and life in general, with the conversation being punctuated by the periodic breaks to change sides on a vinyl record.
Well I'm onto the third paragraph now, so I don't suppose I can procrastinate any longer telling you the basic biographical info about myself. My name is Michael and I just graduated from UCLA as a psychology major. While at UCLA there were three major groups I was involved with. I volunteered in two psychology labs doing research on Stereotypes, Prejudice, and Stigma for one lab and on Uncertainty in Judgment and Decision Making for the other. The third group was a student club called The Den. We were the group responsible for organizing the camp outs for the basketball games and for encouraging and organizing student support for the non-marquee sports. While Football and Basketball get the lion's share of the glory, we tried to ensure that the other sports like women's volleyball, baseball, or women's gymnastics all had at least one game with major student support. For a bunch of sports nuts it was actually a surprisingly academic group. Now that I've graduated I am going to be working as a lab manager for the lab doing research on Judgment and Decision Making. I'll be doing that for a year, and then hopefully I'll go to grad school for a PhD in psychology ideally in a context that lets me study the intersection of Judgment and Decision Making with Stereotyping and Stigma.
Part of the reason I said earlier that I am not the paragon of excitement is that I am really not much of a partyer. I am certainly willing to be dragged to a party the same way I am willing to be dragged to a chick flick, but truth be told, between the two I'd rather be roped into watching the latest adaptation of a Jane Austen novel. If you're a partyer that's fine, just don't expect me to become 100% involved with that aspect of your life, the same way that I wouldn't expect you to necessarily like my favorite band or be equally obsessed with UCLA sports.

. Okay so this is the part of the profile where things get real. First off I love to enjoy life. By that I mean laughing, family, friends, pets(preferably dogs), and trying to get out and try new things. If a girl laughs at my humor, if that's what you call it, then I know that we will at least be going on several dates. I am a musician and like to bang...on drums that is! See I told you my humor is a bit quirky. I enjoy a night out but I can just as easily spend a night home alone with a woman and watch a "so dumb it's funny," chick flick. Education is important to me. I am currently attending CSUMB and majoring in Human Communication. I love my family, they mean the most to me and I would give up anything for them. A woman who wants a family later down the road is one of my priorities. I love to eat food but I make sure I hit the gym 4-6 times a week to burn off those love handles:) I played football all throughout my life as well as basketball and soccer. Sports have been a huge impact in my life learning to create bonds and communication. I especially learned teamwork when I was in drumline playin tenors. If you've seen the movie "Drumline" you will note that those hands are mine, not Nick Cannons. Haha. But actually I am half Hispanic and half Caucasian(I believe those roots stem somewhere from GermanySweden, or something of the like. I'm a California native and preferably would like to settle down here along the coast. I'm up for traveling the world, skydiving, hikes, bike rides, or jumping the Grand Canyon on a scooter!(once again I know I'm not going to be a comedian, ha). I enjoy listening to people's stories, their beliefs, and anything of the like. I think you should hit me up and get to know more.
