First, a little about my background. I was born in Michigan, but have lived the vast majority of my life in California. I just finished my engineering degree at UCLA a few months ago, and now work in Palo Alto. I currently live in the too-quiet suburbs of Evergreen (San Jose), and have thus been looking for more ways to get out and meet new people.
I live and thrive through meeting new people and constantly stepping out of my comfort zone. I am always up for something new. To date, my most spectacular spontaneous adventure has been to climb Mt.Fuji in Japan. If you have never seen the sunrise from the peak of a 12,000ft mountain – it is truly a sight to behold.
Where do I see myself in 5 years?
My career is just beginning. Over the next few years, I intend to go to business school and pursue an MBA. I will eventually be working in the automotive or petroleum industry, engineering the world’s finest.
What do my friends say about me?
My friends will describe me as an amusing, quirky, and social person who is always down for a challenge or spontaneous adventure. Also, I often get tagged as “old fashioned”; seeing as I favor old music, classic cars, and know how to turn a wrench, this is probably not far from the truth!
What are my hobbies and interests?
My biggest interest – one that defines me as a person – is anything and everything related to cars. From reading automotive journals to doing some minor autocross racing, my love for cars is unmatched.
Cars aside, I do a fair amount of road bicycling and hiking to let out the stresses of daily life.
I do love to travel - I've so far visited 13 countries around the world, mostly in Europe and Asia, but do want to see more!
What am I looking for in a relationship?
I managed to go through college without finding a significant other because I was too caught up in my studies. Was I not social? On the contrary, I had a close, fun group of friends upon finishing college. I simply never had the time to balance a meaningful relationship while going through the mortal-combat that was chemical engineering!
What I am ideally looking for is a person with whom I can connect with and have long, meaningful conversations - even about nothing! I’d like to meet somebody who is caring, fun, social, and doesn’t mind the occasional adventure. This can include – but is not limited to – going to jazz concerts, going on scenic drives, and romantic dinners overlooking the beach.

. I just moved to the city from New York after living there my whole life. I never thought I’d give this type of a thing a try but I am pushing myself to move out of my comfort zone a little more. So here is a little bit about me.
I am definitely an outdoor person, growing up me and my brothers spent most of our time outside. I love sports both playing and watching, right now I am really into golf, baseball and football but I have fun with anything competitive. I also like going on hikes, fishing, snowboarding, playing Kan Jam and I am starting to get into free diving which is a lot of fun. A lot of my free time is spent finding things to do outside because I spend my week days in front of a computer. A new job doing IT consulting is actually what got me out here. When I need time to relax I am always up for a good movie or just hanging out and not doing much. I am not really into the club scene; I'd rather head to a smaller bar or just hang out at a friend’s place.
My main reason for giving this a shot was because I want to find someone who shares the same idea of fun as I do. Someone who can handle some jokes and is a genuinely happy person and are fun to be around. I am a bit of an adrenaline junky at times and I like a person who can keep up and is comfortable doing something crazy every now and again. Trust is a big thing with me; I make it a point not to be the jealous type and to give people their space. I try not to pry into people’s business but I like to think I’m very supportive when my friends and family come to me for help.
