And it was a fun night! There was a quiet elegance about the food and drink that set the stage for great conversation about good films, museum exhibits, musical performances, and more. Of course we had to dabble, just a tad, in politics, and that easily includes religion now since we have the religious right - but we move on quickly so as not to get "bogged down" in life. Then Frank had to tell about our latest adventure in the Sierras when we were hiking on Carson Pass and I fell in the river at a crossing! Ah well, it's fun to laugh, even if at ourselves.
There are other things I enjoy doing with Frank....the magic of that twinkle in his eye that draws me close....the trip we are planning to
Chicago to explore a new city together and drop in on my daughter, who has her own life now. One of my favorite things to do, though, is to sit together, close, each with our own book and read. What a sense of peace and contentment.
