I did my first half iron man just two years ago after a very long pause since my life as a young competitive swimmer. I don't swim much now except in the oceans of the world, which is not often enough for one who grew up next to the ocean.
My spiritual life and seeking began as a teenager, and it is an important part of who I am ......
I am very affectionate, and love to just stay home in comfortable clothes, cuddle (that is why I am here..cause my doggie just isn't cutting it!) , relax, read something inspirational, watch a movie and drink some wine or better yet, champagne! I have learned that slowing things down in this way is nurturing, and revitalizing to my spirit...and time in nature is especially rewarding and appreciated when possible. As one in a giving profession, I have learned the importance of taking time and taking care of self.

Absence does make the heart grow fonder. One of the best weeks of my life:
I started off as a preschool teacher. Before my career in Real Estate/development/excavation began...I taught a class room of approximately 14, 3 yr. old's. I was fortunate to have worked for a community center that let me teach, out side the norm. Way back when.
I loved to make learning part of life and life should be fun! I had what we called a “PJ-Pancake Day”. The week prior I would take the children out to the apple orchard. We would collect the fallen apples that still held their own...no worms. I hope! All the children loved being outside, fresh air and gathering the apples into their little buckets. We carried the loot back to class to make apple sauce on a portable burner.
Next step was to tap the old Maple trees that lined the parking lot. Do our daily checks to see how much sap the trees produced. Of course it wasnРІР‚в„ўt possible to collect or boil down the amount we would need for the big day! I would supplement. We collected the buckets from the maple trees and then began the boiling process.
That week was all about showing where our food comes from. We even took some of the little seeds from the apples that we had cored for the apple sauce. We planted the seeds in glass jars so the 3 yr oldРІР‚в„ўs could see how an apple tree begins.
Of course I had to read the story of Johnny Appleseed to them.
The BIG Day! I would greet the children that morning with a few huge rollers on the top of my bedhead look, smudged mascara for the proper effect under my eyes and was wearing my PJРІР‚в„ўs, the type with the feet! They loved it! The parents thought it was a hoot too! But what was so wonderful about that day was seeing the children so young, fun loving, learning, all wearing their own PJРІР‚в„ўs and blankieРІР‚в„ўs or favorite stuffed animals in tow... They were just bouncing off the walls in excitement!
Why do so many adults loose that?
We mixed the pancake batter, cooked as fast as possible! Served the apple sauce on the side and topped the pancakes with plenty of maple syrup- there was plenty of the sticky maple syrup all over their beautiful smiling faces!
Simple pleasures.... the best!

. Predictable, but in a good way. I am a loyal friend who can be counted on in a pinch. You know where you stand with me at all times as I am truthful but kind. I am attracted to the spontaneous because that kind for zest for life is so admirable and catchy and one can easily be persuaded to join in spontaneity with the right person/people and situations.
Loyal, truthful, strong, determined, and kind. Kindness goes a long way in my book. The Golden Rule determines how I treat others.
I work full time as a paralegal. Also enrolled 3/4 time as a nursing student. My goal is to work in a hospital/maternity ward. Helping those brave mommies through childbirth. I have four children and absolutely know the joy of holding a newborn in your arms. That is love, true love that never ends. My children are all grown, with my youngest turning 18 soon. It's my time now. I had dedicated all of my time to raising them and making sure they got off to a great start and am proud to say I have succeeded. They are the very best people I know!
With a pretty busy schedule of work and school I need some downtime so, when it's time to reflect, unwind, and rejuvenate: I head to the beach! It's only 6 hours to the San Diego beaches!! Surfs up, dude!. I absolutely find joy and my happy place just gazing at the beautiful horizon, swimming in the surf, and soaking up the sun like a lounging lizard. Even if it is cloudy, foggy and cold I will be content at the beach. It's where I find serenity in the sights, sounds, flow of the tides, cool, clean water, salty-sea air, and wind in my hair....aaahhh!
I enjoy life and see the possibilities, positives, and bright side of things. Everyone deserves a second chance as none of us is perfect.
I'm an artist at heart. I love to cruise art galleries, dabble in watercolors and pen and ink drawings, and am moved by black and white photography.
What am I doing on this site? I'm looking for my last love; someone to spend the rest of my life with, through the good, bad, and best of times.
