I've written computer programs to calculate the reserves in the oil fields, I've built a couple homes. I helped raise and educate 3 wonderful boys. I have three kids, 33, 30 and 28. All married and out of the house. I raised them alone since my youngest
was 6. They are all employed, an engineer, a cop and a manager at Starbucks. Yes, I like coffee and can get
some free. I am a bit fussy about my coffee.
I have two dogs and several fish. Unfortunately I also have rattlesnakes. Generally the dog takes care of the
rattlesnake, but I'd rather he let me do it. I am not special, where I live everybody has rattlesnakes. At
least mine are not in my house. My dog doesn't trust me to take care of the snakes. He tries to push me away.
He has been bitten twice. Two of my fish are big enough that you might catch them at a lake.
I believe in God. I know that isn't very informative, but if you want to know more just ask.
I like Arizona. I've been to most of it; I've been here a long time. I like boating, hiking and 4-wheeling. I sold my jeep and I have a 4x4 truck but it isn't as good as my jeep at off-roading. But I am a much better 4x4 driver now so maybe it is a draw. I've been to some very pretty buildings, lots of art and landscaping. I've been out on the ocean and in the mountains. I can't tell you that I like the city better than the country, I think I like it all.
I have been to Union Square in San Francisco. What a shock. Went shopping. No way I'd ever pay $1,600 for a pair of jeans. No way my butt is worth that sort of wrapper. Kinda scary going shopping there.
My business keeps me busy. Mostly I do computer programming and answer the phone. But there are advantages to being the boss. I can meet you just about anytime.
You probably would like to know if I am healthy or if I am a couch potato. Well, I could be healthier. I am
active. I like to get out and do things. But I can stay home and do woodworking or have people over or watch a movie too. Now, I don't spend time in the gym. I have a treadmill so I do my sweating at home. If we go for a hike you might wind up waiting for me. I might wind up waiting for you. But so what. The important thing is that we go. I like to have my friends over for dinner. I cook. You like burned pancakes?
I guess the woman I want would re-schedule her wedding if her dad got sick and couldn't make it. Assuming of course that dad is still around. Mine isn't. He died at 89 and my mom is 91. They were married 64 years.

My goal in life as a child was to be a professional baseball player. I made it to my first year in college until injuries ended my career. So, I chose a career in special education, specifically with troubled children with behavior problems. Earlier this year I decided to retire after 27 years as a special education teacher and administrator. I am presently working part-time in Adult Education at Pima College and taking time to start my own business providing workshops for teachers and caregivers on working with children with behavior disorders and learning disabilities. I am also working to complete my 3rd book. My professional career has been "very interesting and challenging".
I love my three children, all in college, and believe there is nothing more important to our future than our children.
My political preferences are as a Libertarian/Green. I believe our current political system has become a giant boondogle that is only interested in protecting the rich.
My friends would describe me as quiet, funny, smart, spiritual, kind, a little strange, a tree hugger and one who believes a normal and a boring are the same thing.
My favorite things to do are swimming, playing volleyball, reading, watching horror movies, walks, riding my bike and listening to 60's music. Most people I know would say that to define my life as "interesting" would be a gross understatement.
I also live by the credo that "All who wander are not lost."
