Date single man from Arizona, United States. I really hate describing myself in words but, this is how these things work so here goes. I am a high school teacher and a soon to be administrator because of graduating with my master's in May. I too like a good cup of coffee and good conversation, sometimes after a long walk. My sense of humor is one of my best attributes or so I am told. I have a 19 year old daughter who does not live with me and a 2yr. old grandson who I just love to death. I love life and still expect to accomplish some things that I know I have been destined for. My friends and family are very important to me and I stay in pretty close contact. I love to go to the U of A games and tailgate with friends. Going out to restaurants is something I do at least once per week and staying home and watching a good movie or working out at the apartment and taking a nice swim is also relaxing and enjoyable. Well, that is it for right now.
Meet a soulmate from Arizona, United States. Some people click and others don't. I try to meet the other person half way. Every relationship should be built on a foundation of balance. Being able to get along comfortably without driving the other person crazy. Give and take.
Date someone special from Tucson, United States. who can say? I am who I am and you are who you are. To say that I can describe myself, letalone some ideal, is silly.
If you don't bother to check Salman Khan's Khan Academy on youtube on a regular basis to see what new stuff he's put up, we probably won't have much to talk about. Of course, if you can truthfully say that none of his videos offer you anything of value, even as review, then I bow to your superior intellect and suspect you'll find ME boring, so again, we'll have nothing much to talk about.
You have a chance to see what I'm like (in a limited sort of way) by reading the rest of my profile. Are you compatible?
Warning: I've been practicing Transcendental Meditation (TM) for over 37 years, and the TM-Sidhis (yogic flying, etc) for over 25 (It gets worse).
Caveat: I may not be married but I have a live-in platonic relationship/romance with my son's mom and I have another platonic relationship/romance with the crazy cat lady down the street. Both are my best friends.
(Er, um, did you hear a loud scratching sound, as though someone was vigorously crossing a name off a list?). Told you you couldn't handle honest...
To continue, I studied classical guitar while stationed overseas in the USAF, mostly in England and for a few weeks in Spain. Then at the U of AZ for a year when I left the military.
I'm interested in the social, educational and business aspects of virtual worlds, not to mention the techno-geek programming aspects of 'em.
Currently, I am involved in creating cheap, community-based internet access designed to be beyond the control of centralized businesses (aka mesh networks).
I taught myself elementary calculus at the age of 15 and came up with a crude variation of Gauss' summation formula about the same age that he did (10-ish).
I'm excessively opinionated on a wide variety of subjects and I have a largish set of bookshelves (6 feet high by 24 feet long, total) filled with all manner of strange books, though I sold my 10K collection of comic books many years ago (note: I kept my copies of Mage and of Groo the Wanderer --I have SOME class, after all).
I used to participate in US 3rd party politics (actually escorted John Hagelin of the Natural Law Party around town during his first presidential run --we had a nice chat over lunch about possible relationships between pure consciousness, quantum physics and neural network mathematics).
I have 2 grown kids, neither of whom lives with me, 1 cat (google ranma shampoo to learn what her personality is like), assorted guitars, including 2 classical 10-strings, 1 theorbo-lute (18-string bass lute), 1 mountain dulcimer, and a bagpipe practice chanter that I never learned to play properly.
Aforementioned roommate plays piano, guitar, flute, violin, pan flute, and probably some other stuff she hasn't mentioned and likes to cook/bake.
I collect computer languages and I'm currently involved in an international startup attempting to recreate the computer industry in a way that would allow kids in Africa (or anyone, anywhere else, for that matter) to build and program their own supercomputers out of One Laptop Per Child-like machines plus whatever other larger computers they have handy (your smart refrigerator could be part of your home supercomputer if you wanted).
I used to study martial arts, and ballet when I was young and slender (in my "salud" days when I was green and limber) and studied acting for a while during that period.
I'd finish this descriptive passage with some clever closing remark, but you'll have to be content with this, instead.
As for who I am looking for? If you've gotten to this point, then you're probably either insane or a perfect match (or both). Told you I was honest and that you couldn't handle it. Laters.

Date someone special from United States. Hey Tucson is a nice friendly town I've found. I like to cuddle and enjoy "bac wubs". Then there's standing outside during monsoon season watching the rains come in. Hanging out with the car club guys. Wonder if the police will come to my door and say (after I have the heart attack), " Your not the guy we're looking for"! You know, just the usual Tucson pace of life! Need more details? Eats Stoufers, does not cook. Has antenna, no cable. Drives cars, has no truck. Smiles with eyes, does not speak Spanish. Plays 'putor games, watches less TV. Likes "Ginger", "MaryAnn" O.K. Stands tall, likes round squeezable goodies.....on you! Does own laundry, mows lawn too. Uses CFL lite bulbs, burns premium fuel. Builds model engines and talks here (sometimes) for relaxation. Tells tall tales to the ladys to appear more enduring! Gets ignored (sometimes). Still has hair, too tall to see bald spot! Can run machine tools, may fail round peg/square hole test. Loves doggies, cats.....OK. Bellyaches about the summer heat, praises the mild winters. Rides bicycle!..to the mailbox and back. Oh, and see my happy hour movie! Youtube/longboy4/Thats Aida

Meet a man from United States. I am an easy going, nature loving spiritual guy, who is looking for someone to share some time with. It could turn into a life long commitment. I like picnic, playing my flutes, computer games, watching TV. Helping animals, I am very honest sometimes so honest it hurts. It never pays to lie. I love the desert and the canyons one can get lost in. I hate large crowds, to loud music and people who lie. I love to laugh and joke around it's what keeps the spirit alive. Be honest, caring, sharing and you will get the same in return and more. One more thing I never married as I cared for my sick/ disabled mom until she passed away came close but well long story there.
Date single man from United States. I am a strong, driven, caring individual. With so many wonderful things available to us in life, it seems selfish to not share them. I am looking to share some of lifes greatest pleasures with someone.
I'm happy to share a photo, just can't have one on the website.
