I like new challenges, and creating opportunities for others. We've just opened a business in Tucson in the healthcare field, and more will be opened over the next year. I'm busy, but I get to set my own schedule. I've been an environmental attorney, head of a solar energy company, a sculpt yoga instructor and lots of other different and unusual jobs that took me to all parts of the US and several countries in Europe and Central America.
I like travelling to places near and far, and meeting new people and learning about different cultures. I especially like big cities where I can get lost in the crowd, and find the whole range of unique experiences. I like to learn new things when I get there. Like the music, dancing, language, art, theater, and so on. Like a flea market in London or a festival in Costa Rica.
Closer to home I like going to the many events and music downtown and 4th Avenue, although I'm not huge on the bar scene. A great evening together could range from dinner and a comedy show, to dancing or karaoke, a sporting event, movie, or just chilling at home chatting, reading a book together, watching a movie (after wine on the patio watching an amazing Arizona sunset), or entertaining close friends.
I love celebrating all holidays and special occasions, especially Valentine's Day, Anniversaries (I prefer monthly),Christmas, New Years, Halloween, to name a few.
I'm passionate about such things as equality, fairness, justice and tolerance. I believe that everyone should be entitled to do what they want as long as they allow others to do the same.
I'm spiritual, not religious and practice or teach yoga on an (almost) daily basis, usually hot power yoga. I'm athletic, tanned and toned, and that makes me feel healthy and concious. Mind-Body-Soul Connect.

Meet a man from Arizona, United States. I'm sort of an old school kind of guy who holds open doors for his date and picks up the check. I'm originally from NYC, but have lived here for years. I am anything but trendy or pretentious. If everyone's doing it, for me that's usually a good reason not to. I manage to survive without Facebook, whatever the hell Twitter is, reality shows, DWTS, Oprah, and all the other egocentric media icons that we're overrun with. When my cell phone rings, it doesn't sound like a damn juke box. It just rings. I hunt, target shoot, and joke about moving my investments into canned goods and ammunition. I don't have any tattoos or piercings. My only body adornment is a watch, so I can tell when it's time to leave. Obviously I'm a little behind what passes for today's normal behavioral curve and somewhat of a cynical throwback, or refreshingly normal, depending on your point of view. If you're still reading, relax because it gets better. Despite sounding like a social troglodyte, I'm still somewhat of a big kid, with a few big kid toys, never being completely successful at achieving certified Adulthood, and finding someone who can be playful and silly when the mood strikes would be a blast. Work is hard and the hours are long so I really value my time away from it. I'm honest and trustworthy, even if you don't earn it, but I'm working on that. I've been divorced for years, no kids, (which explains the toys), no pets, no drugs, (although alcohol is one of the lesser but no less important food groups), and only minimal baggage, but who doesn't have a little? I try to get to the gym a few times a week where I run and lift to keep in fairly decent shape for a guy who gets subscription offers to Modern Maturity or the AARP periodicals. (I'm 6'2 and 170 lbs). Barbecues and cold beer, early mornings in summer before the sun is up, being out in the open spaces in my truck, older movies that are nothing like the 500 million dollar comic books in theaters now, or sitting in a restaurant enjoying the food and the company are all things that work for me. So, if any of this tongue-in-cheek quasi-rant only mildly offends you, piques your interest, or makes you laugh, and you live in or near Tucson, spell check first, then send the email, and not just a wink.

I like to be active. For example, in 2011, I summited Mount Kiliminjaro with some friends. Then, in the summer, my sons and I spent five days biking the Danube River in Austria. Then, in the late fall, I did a 280 mile bike trip on my own through South Vietnam.
I also enjoy ballroom dancine, especially the smooth and latin dancing with salsa being my favorite.
I have two college age sons, both of whom I really enjoy. We have a nice relationship.
I like to bike, as well, and I've participated multiple time in the El Tour de Tucson and the Tour of the Tucson Mountains. I also attempted to "Ride the Rockies" last summer, but it proved to be beyond my abilities. Oh well.
It would be nice to spend time with a woman who enjoys being physically active. However, I also enjoy activities like watching a movie and attending performing art events, such as live theater, the ballet, the opera and such.
