I moved out here 5 years ago for my job and it's starting to grow on me, although I do miss a lot of aspects of the east coast. I like to go hiking, rock climbing, shooting pool, photography, concerts.... really I'm up for anything. At the same time, I also enjoy just staying at home curled up on the couch sometimes too. I'm pretty over the bar scene, although I do like going to Cactus Moon or Zen Rock every once in a while.
I really love my life right now. I've got a job I enjoy (most of the time), an amazing family (who, unfortunately, I don't get to see as often as I'd like since they live 2000 miles away) and the best friends a guy can ask for. I really can't ask for more. All I'm really looking for is someone to share that with me.

I love the outdoors and being active. My favorite activities are snowboarding and camping and everything that comes with camping - hiking, jumping in cold rivers, campfires... I also love mountain biking but I road bike as well and I am starting to swim more. I run a few times a week and I am planning on doing a half marathon and I've also been thinking about doing a small triathlon at some point. I do something active at least a couple times a week. And finally I love to dance. That use to involve me on the dance floor after a drink or two (maybe making a slight fool of myself) but I have recently started taking dance lessons and loving it!

I moved to Tucson in October after finishing law school last May. I used to live in St. Louis. Before law school, I worked in politics and public relations. I attended the University of Michigan prior to working, and I grew up in New York City. Along the way, I've done a lot of writing, traveled throughout the country and parts of Europe, seen more hip-hop concerts than I can recall, collected sneakers, consulted for a basketball team, and watched "Arrested Development" far too often.
In my down time, I love to read nonfiction, follow sports (NBA basketball, college basketball, college football), sample restaurants, cook at home, get exercise, learn about new music, hit a museum, and hang out making jokes with friends. (Or about them.) I am embarrassed by how much I enjoy doing my laundry, I get dorky about language, and I do not need to be drunk to think that karaoke is a great idea.
I am hoping to meet someone who is smart and passionate, has a good sense of humor, does not take herself too seriously, and will be down for both the extraordinary and the prosaic. Sarcasm is a major plus, and being straight up funny is great. I especially like women who can dish it just as well as they take it.
Some other things to know:
- I once camped out to buy Jordans at a mall on the morning of a college final. I always have had the right priorities.
- Running your iPod through the laundry machine is not a great idea.
- Women don't give themselves enough credit for how good they sometimes can look with their hair in a ponytail.
- Hanging out and being goofy for its own sake has its place alongside being able to hold serious conversation.
- You really should let me cook for you sometime.
- The best food is found at the junkiest places and the most expensive, so accordingly, a casual night out and getting all gussied up are equally important events
- It's plenty sexy to have conviction, and even sexier to not apologize for knowing what you want.

I was lucky to have grown up in numerous places in Europe because of my father's job. Living in an area full of history has really given me an appreciation of history, art, and of different cultures.
