I'm blessed at 62 to often be mistaken for being 20 years younger. I am vegetarian and have practiced yoga and meditation for almost 40 years. A few years ago on a summer's hike I found a new role model in an 85 year old man who has hiked the Sierra for 50yrs. I have a passion for the environment and sustainable culture. I love the SW, deserts and canyons, the NW, Native American and Eastern culture and philosophy. I am also a proud and happy father of a 22yr old boy and 23yr old girl who are both wonderful people pursuing their own dreams.
Last summer I officially became semi-retired but will continue my Thai Yoga Therapy practice and my involvement in permaculture at a graceful pace.
II have been planning to spend several months in Thailand in 2013 to explore and work on a book but it now looks like I will also be visiting my son in Uruguay and will probably want to turn that into a walkabout in Central and South America. Nothing is set in stone though. Everything is always in flux and I am open to where the flow takes me.
Long term I am interested in finding a partner and being a part of a sustainable/permaculture community where I can also have some separateness and space. Throughout my life I have been divided between my love for both the SW and NW and now also the South Pacific. How that will evolve I do not know. I have close friends and family on Orcas Island, in Seattle, Portland, Tucson, Flagstaff, Santa Fe and Fiji.
