My philosophy has always been that I can learn something from everyone that I meet. But I will try to as much as possible in this short description.
I am from the Midwest (Kansas) but moved here about 9 years ago. I love it here, and at this point have no intention of ever moving. Don’t miss the blizzards. People come here to vacation, why would we want to leave something like that?
I think that I have kept my Midwest values and sense of responsibility. Integrity in work and life are important for me. I work full time and also have a small business, so it keeps me busy. No, I don’t think work is the only thing by far, because I believe that time spent having fun is time well spent. One of the ways that I like to relax and unwind is to grill for family and friends in my backyard.

Put two wonderful daughters through school, figured it might be interesting to take some college classes. It is. We are only half way there, youngish and still very much alive! I am enjoying the wonders of life; spiritual, mental, and physical. I’m writing this sitting outside with coffee as the sun rises and the birds sing – one of my favorite times of day. I love the iridescence of the waves in moonlight and, of course, the flickering flames & crackling of a fire settling down. I am comfortable with who I am. There is much to do and nothing to prove. There can never be too many friends. Solitude is peaceful, but best with a companion. And so, I am hoping to find my kindred spirit.
