I never thought I would be trying the online dating thing but I think you should never say never cause you don't know where life is going to lead you. Im shy at first but if you invest time in getting to know me you won't be able to shut me up and i'll keep you laughing. I'm a mother of son who is almost 19 who has gratuaded high school and is now off to college in a different state. I couldn't be more proud of him. I was married once to my son's father when I was 19 for about 8 months but don't worry my last relationship was 14yrs and we spilt amicably. My ex is still a very important part of my son's life since he has been a major part in it for the last 16 1/2 yrs. Now that my son is grown and out of the house im entering the work force again and pretty excited. At this point in my life I don't see myself having any more kids but I absolutely adore children and welcome kids if my partner were to have them . My weakness is animals and kids. I love love love them!! I am the first to admit that im not a perfect person but I do feel like I have alot to offer. Im one of the most honest people you'll probably ever meet. Im very loyal, compassionate, understanding and very affectionate and these are all qualities that im looking for in a partner as well. I don't smoke or do drugs but do I love a nice cold beer, absolutely!!! It's nice being from that type of upbringing to teach you how to work for what you want and to enjoy instead of getting everything handed to you. I've been in az for 14 years now and I love the fact that I can take off and get to the beach in 5 hours or take my quad up north for a fast afternoon trip or a weekend. I am the outdoors type girl. I love the lake camping fishing shooting guns.I have a couple by the way and have a great spot I go to shoot and let off stress. I don't really go out to bars a lot anymore id rather stay home and have a bbq with friends by the pool. I can be shy at first but don't let that fool you because I'm only like that when I might be interested in someone other than that i can go up and talk to anyone. Lol weird. I have been in the same job for 13 years and after a divorce I changes it up and went back to school got my emt and now I'm taking classes for the nursing program. I have a lot of interest but would rather not tell them all on here. I do however have a few things I don't like so here they are. I don't like cocky people. I don't like when people judge or compare themselves to others. We all have our own stuff in life and I have more important things to think about. Also insecurity is a no with me. . I'm originally from the East Coast, but have lived in Phoenix for 13 years now. While I still miss the EC vibe, I have come to appreciate life in the desert. I keep an inner circle of wonderful family members, true friends and I love what I do for a living. I live a full life with no regrets.
I'm kind of a dork, but in a cool sort of way. What this means is: I'm sarcastic, I can totally crack myself up.. like, even when I'm alone (!!??), I bump into things all of the time, I listen faithfully to NPR, I watch documentaries about outer space, I can sit through a hockey/football/baseball game and know what is going on, I prefer hiking to shopping (well, most of the time), I don't have cable (just stream Netflix), I read, I enjoy road trips & First Fridays at the Phx Art Museum, I don't like seafood but am willing to bait and catch a fish, there is music in this world that I couldn't do without, I'm not a gamer- blech!, I don't think women should give up their entire identities once they have children, I need coffee, I exercise because it makes me feel good (and look better!), I play tennis, I own a drafting table but I don't draw (I keep telling myself 'someday I will become a talented artist!'), I watch indie films (like.. in other languages), and I'm rarely bored. I could go on. My two amazing boys (ages 6 and 8), my career & friends keep me pretty busy, so, ya know, I've got a life of my own. But at the same time, it'd be nice to meet someone I really connect with. Thanks for reading! :)
PS- No offense or anything, but if you spend 90-100% of your time in front of any type of screen (computer, TV, phone, etc.) it probably won't work out for us- just 'been there, done that'.

. When I'm not at work and not working on my house, typically you'll find me in a swimming pool. I'm always up for water sports whether in the pool, lake or ocean. Anything from ocean kayaking to jet skiing to an intense game of backyard pool volleyball. My philosophy is work hard - play hard, and I stick to that. But playing hard can be exhausting so when I need a break from it all, I'm a fan of curling up on the couch with my "kids" (my very large puppies) having a nice glass of wine recently purchased from the last wine tasting I went to, and watching a good action flick. Of course who can resist cracking a beer and floating around the pool on a raft? And for me, long weekends are the best. It's the perfect time for a quick trip out of town either by plane, car or motorcycle. I should mention that I am not of the chaps and fringe persuasion when it comes to motorcycle attire - sign me up for full racing gear and more speed! Since I haven't found "Mr. Right", I guess I'm still workin gon figuring out what I'm looking for ...
