Meet a woman from Sedona, United States. I am no longer on this site. Good luck with your search and I hope you find the partner of your dreams :)
~Blessings, Mary
I work with special needs children teaching them to communicate and "learning to learn".
I enjoy learning about people; so sociological/psychological/anthropological topics always get my interest. Sorry, I fall absolutely deaf to politics.
I love just about everything to do with the outdoors. Hiking being my favorite outdoor sport. I was lucky enough to hike into Havasupai and to the top of Mt. Humphreys this past summer. Short hikes are good-but long hikes accompanied by aching muscles are my favorite.
Live music on a warm night or near a fire, to me, is a great date. So is having dinner party with friends or watching a really good movie.
I am very attracted to intelligence and a dry sense of humor. I value honesty and loyalty in a man and will reciprocate with that and much, much more. I am affectionate and desire the same in my partner. I find respect to be as alluring as love.
I am very youthful. On average, men guess my age to be @ 35 (based on my appearance and my personality). I am the kind of woman who is as equally comfortable in shorts and flip flops as I am in heels and "a little black dress".
I would like to meet a man who not only likes what he has read so far, but who is interested in finding various and interesting ways of keeping the "spark" alive. I am. Little things are the embers that can keep a fire going.
My family and my sons are very important to me. Even though my sons do not live at home now, I know someday (a long time from now:)) they will have their own children. I look forward to that and also to my partner's children and grandchildren.
I have faith in God but am not by any means a religious person.
Before I leave this earth, I have 3 things I want to do: meet my grandchildren, go to Alaska and awe at the Aurora Borealis, and swim with free dolphins. Ultimately, I hope I do this with my partner.
Other things I like: wit, laughter, teachable moments and animals.
For a first date, I would like to meet for tea or coffee. Maybe even a long hike after that.
Date a soulmate from Sedona, United States. Well Iv'e ended my test of match.com. So if you are reading this intro...you've missed your chance to say Hi! Good luck in your search...
I love to travel, so if your somewhat free to do so that would be ideal..Doesn't have to be far...just out of the house..I am energetic, entertaining and love to laugh and have fun! I love nature and the outdoors..not much of a couch potato although currling up together watching a movie is nice too. I believe in searching out new and exciting things to see and do...sometimes it's as simple as a new hike or resturant..and I enjoy sharing those experiences with someone who finds that kind of thing exciting too. Ya I love food...cooking at home is something I enjoy so experimenting with food should be of interest!
I also hope the person I find knows how to respect and appreciate others. Sometimes it just takes a little effort to make someone feel special and I am looking for someone who's not afraid to put that effort out there! I am a firm beleiver in "what your recieve is directly related to what you are willing to give and share!" I beleive in caring about others and making sure they know it. I enjoy romance and tender moments and I hope you do too.
And then there's the ocean...I was born on it...and although I have choosen to live in Arizona, I make sure to get some "water time" every chance I can get. I love cruising..there's nothing better than waking up every morning in a new place..new things to see..new and exciting places to explore! And it's a great way to find places you want to go back to and spend more time. I prefer tropical, there's something really romantic about warm sun, walks on the beach and just enjoying someones company. Watching them get excited about whatever it is that makes them happy, that's so fun to be a part of! . Mexico, Bahama's, Hawaii, Greece, Venice, the whole Mediterranean is a place I can't wait to see again..So if you too love the ocean..perhaps we can find a private, cozy cove to explore each other in!
I'm a firm believer in doing what you are passionate about! Doesn't matter if it"s work or play. If your the kind of man who can appreciate a woman who can "bring home some bacon..loves to "grill it" up (not much of a "fryer")...but never let's you forget your the man....well then pehaps we could have something!
Meet someone special from United States. I am about to embark on a brand new experience -- relocating from New York City -- Manhattan -- to Sedona, Arizona.
Why Sedona? I am a spiritual person and have for many years been drawn to the red rocks, the indigenous culture, and the old west.
A little about myself...I grew up in Manhattan, went to the High School of Music and Art where I studied art. Do you remember the movie "Fame"? Well, it was made the year after I left and they used many of the high school kids in the film. Even to this day when I watch the movie, I see old friends and faces.
While in high school, I studied French and found I had a natural ability with it. Probably a past life thing or something like that. ;-)
I also studied Architecture and ended up getting accepted to Cornell's Art & Architecture program but turned them down!!! :-O
I have to admit that that is one of the silliest mistakes I ever made in my life... Oh well...
I chose to go to the State University of Binghamton upsate New York where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in French. I spent my junior year abroad and traveled all over Europe. To this day, I have many close friends in England, France, Germany and I have visited them and they have visited me. I expect a slew of visitors once I move to Sedona!
After college, I worked in the hotel business, then for a french accounting firm, then eventually, I switched to computer graphics. Funny, how my artwork came back around. I spent many years working as an Administrative person, lived in Virginia around D.C., was married, then divorced...and one day, I discovered massage.
I left everything and moved back to New York to attend the Swedish Institute of Massage and got my license in 1999. I started my own practice and spent many years building it up. I also have taken many continuing education classes, including Polarity Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Raindrop Technique and the list goes on and on. I am always trying to better my skills. I eventually found -- as we all have -- I also have my own intuitive abilities.
However, I was craving my creativity and suddenly one day, discovered Feng Shui. I then became a Certified Feng Shui Practitioner as well. Now, my architecture background was combined with my massage / energy skills.
I love to teach and I am a great talker and (so I've been told) writer. In fact, I started to blog and write articles which have been published on www.selfgrowth.com and also in print in Massage Magazine. I love to write about spirituality and often I am inspired by my own struggles.
I then created a presentation called "Finding Peace in a Stressful City / World with Feng Shui" which I have given over thirty times in the New York City area. It was very well received and I am hoping to continue it out west.
As far as relationships go, I was married for eight years from 1986 to 1994. I was young and impetuous and it was not the best relationship. Fortunately, we didn't have kids so saying goodbye was much easier and he is no longer in my life in any capacity.
I was not in a relationship for many years after that as I was working on myself and changing my career. Then, in 2004, I met someone who I had been with for many years until I was drawn out west and he wasn't. Geography and spiritual transformation basically is what split us up. Though, I admit, we are still close friends and care deeply about each other.
We also were not the most compatible because I love to sit and talk for hours on spiritual and religious ideals but he would rather sit and watch TV all night and keep to himself. That's a tough one in a relationship because -- to me -- conversation and communication are so important, especially as you get older.
The next relationship I am seeking will start as a great and caring friendship. We will both love to talk. We will both be spiritual, love to explore nature and yet be grounded in reality. We will also be open to growing together...
Date a woman from United States. Since I was born in Turkey but lived my adult life in foreign countries I have a hard time with Turkish men, unless they are like me, studied and lived abroad at some point in their lives. Education is very important, higher degree is even better, I was an Art student mainly sculpture so I would like someone who is creative himself and appreciates art. Music is a large part of my life not professionally but I love dancing and listening to any/all kinds of music, I'm into photography, again not professionally. Enjoy writing, someday I might finish my book?! LOve love love animals, dont discriminate love them all, believe they have more rights to be here than we do, we took their everything from them and we try to help them?! that's so wrong thinking!
Since i was raised with a culture different than what I was born into it is hard to connect with the people of my own tongue so this is why I look for connections in places where I felt most comfortable, I lived/studied in CA and AZ and travelled extensively in USA UK and Europe. San Francisco/Berkeley in general Bay Area was my first love so anybody who is from there has a special place in my mind, also Sedona was another special place for me, that's why I want to meet men who chose this as home. Age is relevant to how u feel about it, I could be 51 but most of the time I feel like I'm still a teenager, last boyfriend was 16 yrs younger, 4 yrs we were together only reason didn't last cause I was open to change he wanted everything the same in his life!
Traveling, meeting new people, expanding my horizon is important for me!
Meet a soulmate from United States. Beautiful inside and outside. Warm, considerate, loving woman who wants to find a mate to love, share, experience life together. I am a wonderful friend, companion, listener and confidante. I am a creative soul who has spent her career in high tech corporate positions travelling across the country. Now I am blending my creative side with my business side. The man I would like to met must be educated, articulate, fun loving, enjoys travel, art, literature, music, likes children and dogs (although I have neither--my little Maltese Teddy could sniff out good men from inappropriate men in minutes---but he has gone to dog heaven). The man I seek must be content with himself and happy with himself right now. I seek a partner, an equal, a loving, affectionate confidante. I am not seeking to be the "rebound relationship", a babysitter or your mother---I want to be your friend and possibly mate.

Meet a woman from Arizona, United States. I'm a very easy-going, fun-loving, affectionate woman looking for a little male companionship. My expectations in any type of relationship are basic: honesty and respect - given and received by both parties.
I'd like to meet a sincere, fun-loving, easy-going man with interests similar to mine. I can be serious as easily as I can be playful. Being silly is as important to me as is deep conversation. Comfortable silence and a loving touch are also highly underrated, in my opinion.
Although I'm not necessarily looking for a long-term relationship, I believe that what's supposed to be will be. I'm absolutely not a game-player, and have no tolerance for those who are! With me, what you see is what you get .
I've been widowed (at age 36) and divorced (recently), and I don't feel the need to get married a third time. (Again, what will be, will be!) They come as part of my package. So, that's me in a nutshell. If you're at all interested and think we'd be a good match, drop me line soon. ~Chris ~
Date a woman from United States. I enjoy a life filled with good fortune, good health, and great friends. I'm kind of a free-spirit type now living full time in beautiful Sedona. Happy, optimistic, energetic, intelligent, adventurous, independent, and creative are words that I believe fairly describe me. I enjoy cooking beautiful, healthy meals and sharing them with friends. I enjoy wine and fine dining, almost as much as I enjoy grilling at home and listening to Pandora radio.
I'm retired and love it, although I am exploring some volunteer work opportunities. This great period of my life is filled with hikes, cooking, reading, yoga and exercise, and various creative pursuits. I would really enjoy finding a like-minded man to share my life. I have been fortunate in my two primary relationships (one for 22 years, one for 10 years), and those relationships ended amicably. As I have grown up (yikes!), I find that my tastes and my needs have evolved also. At this point, the qualities I cherish most in a relationship are emotional intimacy, laughter, respect, wit, curiosity, generosity of spirit, and the ability to share one's love freely and with affection. What does that all mean? I don't know...it sounds more complicated than it feels. My partner is someone who is kind, intelligent, confident, tolerant and ready to grow past the casual dating scene into something more meaningful and less transient. Although I am quite independent, I love chivalrous, masculine men - I know it is a bit of a paradox, but that is the way I feel.
Shall I be honest and tell you a few of my "lesser" attributes? I'm mechanically-challenged, and can't tell jokes without starting with the punch line first. I am pretty short (not freaky short, about 5'5") and have to stand on my tip toes at times to hug tall people and reach for things in upper cabinets. When I feel intensely about a subject, I don't hesitate to share that intensity. I have a short fuse for insincere and phony people, or for that matter, for people who cling to insincere and phony people because they think it enhances their public image or self-esteem. I basically avoid people who are racially prejudiced, thoughtless, unkind for no reason, and/or ill-mannered. I admit to being very visual, and feel that interpersonal chemistry is an indispensable asset to any loving relationship. Classic handsome "good looks" matter far less to me than what is inside a man.
I have been on this site very briefly over the last year and a half, and have met a couple of men, one of whom I dated for a while, but the relationship was challenged by geographic and emotional distance, and other obstacles. Although I can be shy, I'd like to try Match again and would enjoy making new friends in the process.
. Life is ever-changing so I find the need to change with it. Everything in and around is moving at a very fast rate of expansion. It would be great to experience life with someone that can also
change and grow to be a true connection to himself, me and the world in ever-changing ways.
I really love to relax and be spur of the moment. Having to run here and there are fine but I seem to have left that behind. I am not look for anything that is not real. Life has upsets at times. Someone that wants to share his life in a open and honest way. No hiding.
. First, I am new at this online thing as I have a couple of friends doing this and thought I would give it a try.........so be gentle on me, hee hee
My job is rather intense (which I love) however, I balance that out with my love for nature and my horse. I love to camp with (or without) my horse somewhere cool and exciting. I also love to hike or be on a lake somewhere. I love the mountains and fortunately I live close to them. I love to be around people that make me laugh and people that like to have fun in life. I am not at all into drama as there is no fun in that at all. I have awesome friends and family and love them all. I really am just looking for someone down to earth that enjoys the finer things of life such as nature and just plain enjoying life. Good dinners, movies, conversation and I am not at all into material aspects of life so many get involved in. I love travel and challenges. I'm independent, self sufficient and I am not a needy person nor am I looking for a needy person. I am simply looking for someone that knows how to enjoy and love life to it's fullest. Mix good company and some laughter with that and I'm good to go. I am most passionate about horses and fun. I love to laugh and smile. It warms my heart~
Your probably going to want to have a horse if your want to hang around with me. No need to beat around the bush about that because out side of work, I spend most my time with my horse somewhere beautiful and with good friends. If I'm not hanging out with my horse, I'm traveling somewhere cool.
BTW I am not at all into the bar or night club phony scene. There are so many other fun things to do besides being hit on in a bar especially when someone has had far too much to drink. Matter of fact, If you drink more than one drink you are probably not my kind of guy. I'm not into the drinking scene either. If you like a glass of wine or a cold beer on a hot summer day, there is nothing wrong with that though. A man in my life has to enjoy the finer things in life and none of that includes phony, materialist egos.
Must have a love for nature, animals and life and have the ability to be true to yourself and honest with others. A self confident, independent, fun loving, down to earth man just might spark my interest. Of course, if your spontaneous, adventurous, fun and ready for anything, that would definitely spark my interest.
. someone not to clingey, fun to be with, that likes to do things as well as kick back, doesnt have to talk all the time, enjoys a good book as well as a good movie, enjoys good food, someone who works and wont expect me to support them, who doesnt wine or get mad easily
