I'm finding it a little difficult to put my personality into words, but I guess I'll just hit some of the important "Abby basics". I'll admit I'm kind of an introvert- I do a lot more thinking than talking, so I'm no good at going to a crowded club or bar and trying to connect with someone that way. I would prefer not to meet someone like that anyway, though, because in my experience any guy who's looking for a girl at a bar isn't exactly looking to "connect" in the way that I am. I'm sarcastic but friendly, shy but can be forward- I don't really filter my opinions and thoughts. I'm confident in some things but insecure in others, depending on my mood I guess. I'm kind of old fashioned when it comes to relationships, which you might not guess given that I'm a single mother. Sometimes when I have strong feelings for someone, I keep them at arms length thinking it'll hurt less if (when) they leave. I can't say whether or not it's actually ever made it easier. A lot of the guys on here say they want someone who is very active adventurous.. so I prefer to be honest throw this out there- having grown up feeling shy, awkward, and insecure quite a bit, I've always been pretty reserved; kind of an "I'd rather not put myself out there than go for it and fail" kind of thing. However, I really do dislike that about myself and am hoping to change it, given that I've probably missed out on enough experiences living in that mindset. Also, frankly put, I've never actually had to work to keep my body in shape. Good genes I guess. So for the last couple of decades, I've been eating whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted, however much I wanted, and never gained weight. However, I am a lot more interested in trying to eat healthier and taking better care of myself since my daughter came along. My hands are pretty full with her, so I don't have a ton of time to get to the gym and in my opinion it's too hot out to go jogging or anything lol but when the weather cools down, I'd love to start hiking, maybe get into yoga, and I guess I do crunches and work with little 10lb weights at home, so that might kinda count as physical activity lol. So, while I may not be the most active and adventurous girl up to this point, I'm definitely open to working toward it. I'm a little more complicated than I'd sometimes like to be.
I'm more accustomed to observing social situations than participating in them, but once I'm comfortable, I really open up. I'm very passionate about the people I care about, my parents, siblings, family, friends, and especially my daughter- she makes everything worth it. I'm also passionate about my faith and my spiritual relationship, regardless of how I may occasionally question it- sometimes it's hard not to question God. But that's a whole other thing.. I love singing, if I didn't have stage fright I'd probably pursue it as a career. I was a psychology major, so I am guilty of over-analyzing things fairly often. But I'm also very caring compassionate. I've heard I can be pretty funny. I'm a little strange. I have a big heart but it can be kinda hard to get to, because it's tired bears some battle scars. I'm not really looking for casual dating relationships at this point in my life. I think that companionship is just as important in a relationship as passion. Blame it on Disney fairy tales and the epic girly novels I've subjected myself to reading, but I want to find "true love" whatever that is and be happy with someone who can reciprocate what I have to give.

A devastating, life changing event happened about two years ago when I almost lost my leg in a Jet-ski Accident and it really made me realize that life can be turned upside down in an instant! It also made me realize how UN-important most of the things we complain about really are. As far as being active, I like all sports. I do have a love for watching the NBA. There isn't anything I won't do or enjoy doing.

As much as I am content going out, im also super content staying at home or doing something low key.
