I would love to take some seminary classes and get involved overseas and/or here in the USA with the Hispanic community. I also would like to help immigrants. There are so many incredible biblical verses, it's difficult to choose one. Probably John 3:16 because from that - come all the rest. It's the beginning and the end. It is the purpose of my existence and drives all that I am and what my mission is. I want to try to live my life keeping Jesus first and in thanksgiving for the incredible gift of what he did for me and gave me, to see his people through his eyes and love them as he has loved me, experience my life, this world and its' people with the passion, love, beauty, care, humor, artistry, and wisdom that the Lord put into himself and his creations. I love to run and bike in the mountains, roller-blade, ski, play tennis, dance, and of course, practice Pilates. I am a professional creative writer (a previous life/career), a musician, and a trained visual communications designer. I've discovered the love of oil painting these last few years. It's like a meditation to me.
I live with my two boys, ages 8 and 12. My husband passed away six years ago, but we are a very functional and happy family with deep family and friendship ties. We enjoy living a high quality, outdoors-oriented lifestyle in North Scottsdale and frequently take road trips to camp in San Diego and around Arizona.
I am imagining that the man who would be a part of my life would be a motivated athlete, and indeed an inspired and giving person. He might also have some younger children or at least enjoy children. A spiritual person, I would like to have that connection with someone who also has been on a spiritual path of his own.

. Time to update my profile.... I recently moved to Scottsdale on August 10th 2011 from Orange County, CA. Both my children moved away so I thought it was time to make a change myself. I graduated from nursing school in April and decided that Scottsdale would be a good place to work and continue my education at the University of Phoenix. I am currenty working as a hopsice nurse and love it. I look forward to the Arizona lifestyle. I would love to take up hiking and mountain biking.
I work hard and play hard. There are lots of sides to me. I can have lots of fun and can get a little crazy, but if needed I can be serious and take care of business. I also have a traditional side to me. I love to laugh and have fun. I can get dressed up and go out or hang out at home in sweats. I love great wine and food, movies that make me feel......anything! I believe in honesty and loyalty, great communication and having fun together. I can communicate my feelings well and I would like to find someone who can do the same. I want to find someone I can have fun with, but also takes his work and responsibilites seriously. I want someone I can be completly myself with, feel safe with and I would like to be that for him as well. I would like to find my best friend and lover.

. I am a very easy going, fun loving woman with a great sense of humor. I always have a witty come back, just don't always say it unless you are able to play along. I am the kind of person that if you put me in a room with a bunch of people I don't know (in a business setting), by the end of the day I have made some new friends and new facebook contacts. I don't go on facebook very often, originally put a profile on their to keep in touch with my daughter who is away at college. Yes, I know its unbelievable, but I have a 21 year old daughter in college. We are very close and she is very much like me. I love that about her. When we spend time together we usually end up laughing so hard that we cry. Those are some of my most cherished moments. I am a rock n roll girl and that is what I mainly listen to. I try to work out regularly and eat right most of the time, so someone with an interest in doing that too would be desireable. I am a typical girl, I like to look and act like a woman and I love romantic comedies and action packed movies. You can win me over with a great sense of humor and if you treat me right. I am not going to put a list of characteristics I am looking for because I believe everything either starts or stops with chemistry. When you have a strong connection and chemistry, the list usually doesn't matter anymore. I will say that I am a very honest and trustworthy person and that is definately something necessary in a partner. I have been on here long enough to tell you what I am not looking for - I am not looking for a long distance relationship (or scammers), or someone who is just looking for sex.
