We are told that all people stay in love because of chemistry, or because they remain intrigued with each other, because of kindness, because of luck... But part of it has got to be forgiveness and gratefulness. The understanding that, so, you're no bargain, but you love and are loved anyway.
In love what occurs is two become one and yet still remain two. When truly in love words can be meaningless without action. For true love is felt not just heard. Is the saying; That you become one when you marry or fall in love really true? You will always be separate in many ways. Decisions should be made together as well as many other issues that arise; but you can't bring two separate lives, minds, and bodies into becoming one. You will never think alike, act alike and be alike. You have been raised in different worlds per say, learned from different parents, taught in different cultures or religions. You can't drop all that you have become as a person and become another.
The way you can make a relationship work is understanding that you are different. You think differently. You act differently. You might have different interests, hobbies and goals. But understand that's not a bad thing. The bottom line is; are you compatible with this person your with. Do you have things in common. Can you make each other laugh, feel good about the person they are. Can you not be possessive and try to control or change them into the person you would like them to be for your own selfish reasons. These are the questions that you need to ask yourself and your partner. All couples have disagreements and spats but it's how you end or solve these issues is the key. Can you walk away still in love. Or do you walk away wishing you never got involved with this person or thinking, I hate my life.
Remember! You will never meet that perfect person. So quit looking. That person doesn't exist. The best you can ever find is someone who can be most compatible to your likes and your needs. No one out there is perfect and neither are you. The answer is compatibility. Being able to still feel love in your heart and soul after a dispute. Not holding grudges over past events. Not using week spots that you know can hurt your partner in anger. Knowing this is the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. The person I want to grow old with. The person I will take care of if illness strikes him or her. Know I won't hurt, harm, or purposely destroy what I've wanted my whole life. To live happily ever after.
This can be easily achieved by knowing how to love and how to care with unconditional love. Knowing in your heart there is nothing that can break this incredible bond you have worked so hard to build. You must understand and believe that you have absolute trust in your heart. Trust in the fact there is nothing that can take this away from the both of you. It takes two to make a relationship successful but only one to destroy it. Think before you act and know the consequences of your actions. Once your able to love and trust yourself you can love and trust your partner.

I love to cook (especially with someone else who likes to cook), drink good wine (I prefer reds), the symphony, plays, Jazz, Blues, Classical, watching documentaries... but I also love to go out to dinner at new places that are unique and independently owned, dive bars, going to the shooting range, camping, hiking, rockabilly, rock and roll, snowboarding, sci-fi...

I'm not into watching sports (although the occasional live game can be fun). I'd rather be at a farmer's market, hiking, going to the zoo (I've lived here for 2 1/2 years and I still haven't been to the Phoenix zoo! Maybe a good day date?), having fun at a park, spending time with good friends...

Attraction is key and very important...mentally and physically. I'm a touchy feely kinda guy and do enjoy physical contact.
