Actually, I was considering a certificate (cooking), or some other type of training. After much thought, I decided that going back to school was the right way for me to go. In fact, I have gained an interest in politics and economics (not my major) and I am struggling to understand what our beloved politicians are doing. Understanding politics and our economy has become a hobby of mine and I think that it’s important to understand in order to see where we are headed.
About my lifestyle, I have come to realize that organic wholefood is most important in a diet and to avoid processed foods whenever I can. Well prepared vegetarian food is great. I would love to have a big garden someday or even a small farm with some animals. I am sociable, yet I can be quiet at times. I like to make connections with people and find common ground. I have run, biked, hiked, swam, and played ice hockey; I have the legs to prove it. I like to catch the big games in the most popular sports, but I’m not fanatical. I am, however, fanatical about the Olympics.
I am looking for the luckiest lady on the planet, who is interested in meeting the luckiest man on earth. Also, since honesty is high on my priority list I would like to let you know that I'm in a wheelchair as a result of an automobile accident when I was 17. The only thing I can't do is walk and dance (I have two left wheels!) -- I'm independant; I drive myself and pretty self-sufficient despite the circumstances.
The question is -- are you open-minded enough to try a relationship with someone in a chair? Trust me, there are obvisiosly certain things I can't do, but there are other things I can do much better than guys able to walk.

I like to think I am average in just about every way, no better and no worse (morally and socially) than the majority of people on this planet. Backpacking is my greatest passion, at the moment. Just knocked Asia off my bucket list, I'd like to get to Autralia/NZ in the next few years. I'm probably good for one more backpack trip around Europe. After that, easy tours and cruises. I love kids (proud dad of a beautiful daughter) and animals. I'm an avid do-it-yourselfer. I love to fix stuff - cars, computers, home improvement... (must be the engineer gene). I like to help, for no other reason than to help others. I have a load of imperfections (too many to cover here), so I don't expect anyone else to be perfect. In fact, the imperfect people are way more fun to be around than the perfect ones. I drink socially, and when I've had too much, I'm happy and sappy. No criminal record. I don't have any freakish fetishes (not saying I won't try anything new) and no STD's. I get up in the morning hoping to do one good deed and learn one new thing, no matter how small. And my biggest fear is laying in my death bed, alone, with more regrets than I have today. Oh, and did I mention I love to cook! I don't dance, but not opposed to learning. I'm financially stable with no debt, other than my small mortgage. Some of the things that get me off my butt... beach cruising the bay & boardwalk, my 4Runner in the desert, Iron Mountain, just sold my quad and looking for a dirt bike, hanging out by my pool with a Margarita and just being outside. I prefer Laughlin over Vegas, dark beer, spicy food, Eastbound on Fri's and the OB street market on Wed's.
I'm looking for a woman that shares most of the same philosophies. Someone who motivates me. Easy going and comfortable with who she is. Communication and honesty are important - both ways. Someone wanting to travel, road trips, local tourist traps and far away destinations (passport required). I think there's nothing cuter than morning hair and pillow face!! I grew up in middle America, joined the military to defend the same and to see the world - Navy, and did just that. Fired the wife a few years back, retired from the service and now work for the federal government as a civilian and withthe kids are all grown up I thought I would see how it feels to love and be loved again. I am very fortunate--and grateful--for the life I have. I have two fine daughters 18 and 21; our cats make me crazy but they are humorous enough to keep around. I have a great job that has taken me all over the world and to some really unique places. Additionally, I am retiring from the Naval Reserve this summer after 32 years of service. It has been alot of fun (!) but I admit I enjoy having my weekends back.
I may be in management now, but my Dad taught me ALL the blue collar skills. Growing up on a farm does that to a guy. I play the guitar, the banjo and the mandolin (well...kinda)...I live to play music. I'm all about keeping a regular schedule...but have pulled my share of all-nighters, both partying and working.
My mother taught me right: I always open the door for you. If we go to a nice restaurant (I always drive...) I valet. I was taught to honor and respect women; it is my desire to treat you as a lady should be. My car is clean. My midwest values (I'm a country boy from Missouri) are very much still with me.
