Date men and women from Arizona, United States. I'm always up for a trip and planning is a part of the fun. I'll go anywhere. Well, almost. Eat, Love, Pray might have convinced me to consider India. I feel euphoric while hiking in the Grand Canyon, and running the Colorado River through the canyon is always on my bucket list. Summer of 2010 I spent 7 weeks on Caye Caulker in Belize volunteering at a school for a month and playing for 3 weeks. I even got scuba certified! I spent my spring break last year in Beijing on an educatiional trip to China. I do so love travel and it can be to outpost areas or cities although I'm not really a city girl.
I had the good fortune of having 27 years of an amazing marriage before my husband died of bladder cancer. I wouldn't trade the extrodinary journey for anything other than having him back. He was teaching us life's lessons until the very end. My two children are married and moving to Santa Fe (daughter and husband) and Baltimore (son will attend Johns Hopkins). I'm not much for talking on the phone and my daughter once told me it's not ok to ignore the family ringtone. I don't, but I do turn off the volume at times.
Page has been my home for 8 years but I've returned to the Grand Canyon where I've lived off and on for my adult life. I'll be the k-12 counselor which will hopefully be a LITTLE less stressful than K-5 counseling in a school of about 800 students, 93% of who are Navajo.
I am a fairly direct person. Honesty is best but brutal honesty is never the way. My friends often tell me I am resiliant, strong, kind, caring, "cute," and a lot of fun. Put me in a room of strangers and I'll make friends...and they tend to be democrats who believe in social justice.
I hope to find a man who is active, able to make some new friends and has friends who would welcome me, comfortable on the trail for a dayhike and in a fine restaurant, ....re-read my profile and see where we fit.
