I do appreciate common courtesy, if I send you an e mail I am not proposing marriage I promise, I simply felt there was something awesome about your profile that I wanted to bring to your attention a response just to acknowledge it would be lovely. While no one relishes rejection it is far preferred above being ignored.
I was recently informed that this seems a little harsh. Maybe it is. I am actually ok with that. Let us all remember why we are here. If in fact your purpose was to lie to yourself and thus lie to others about what you really want well then by all means carry on, but if like me you are really attempting to find someone with whom you are compatible in hopes of a more lasting connection than why not be really honest? Even if some find said honesty a bit off putting. I would apologize for that but frankly I am not in any way sorry.

Besides, love at first sight is based on appearences, not the real person on the inside.
