I am also not looking for a commited relationship right off the bat but am certainly open for a solid and genuine friendship that could evolve into something deeper with time. You have to be ready for that which means, do everything you wanted to do before so you do not disrupt the relationship. I did those things; tried out for the U.S. Olympic team, lived in Japan for 12 years, dated a lot. Then I can with an open heart be supportive at all times to my wife and hopefully family to be. I have never had that, somebody doing something for me or for us I should say, well besides my mom. My father said "teamwork" is the most important thing in marriage. Oh I might still like to train up for a Judo tournament, or play a season of softball. Only if it works together, if we have a baby then no, I will be there to help and not do side activies. I need to exercise, a morning run, weights at home, body weight exercises something three times a week just to keep me from going crazy. It is a stress release. I do not really spend money on drinking or extravagent things, but I do like to buy computer equipement or get good tools for around the house. Travel seems like a necessity, something I have always done. I guess my international life style has different needs that I consider standard and others might think, ohhh that is extravagant. I do not know I have gone without money for a while now since the move from Japan. I plan to make it when I go into the market, by day trading. Then what do I do with it. You know buy a new house, get new car, nice new clothes. Start working toward a family life. I'll decide these things with my wife.
