I love having my kids in the house (I have 4 : share 2, the other 2 are out of the house), helping someone anonymously (changing someones flat tire,etc), Memorial day, the pledge of allegiance, eating, amazing paintings, the periodic chart (yay potassium, boo krypton), the Olympics, big cats (yay lions, boo hyenas), music, dancing, babies laughing,the ocean. I did martial arts for 27 years (I quit in 1998) was at one time a 6th degree black belt, and appeared in many martial arts magazines. I have 2 doctorates. In the past few years I have twice won 1st place at the Grand Canyon state games in swimming and taken a 3rd (out of 10) in a strong man competition - I was by far the oldest, like twice the age of anyone else (ugh). Not a big sports fan. I like live hockey as it has alot of action, but find football and baseball boring. I liked UFC before it had so many rules. I have a soft spot for animals - I have brought home 5 stray cats , and a stray dog. We found the owner of the stray dog but when she saw how much my son loved the dog she let us keep it. My ex got to keep the pets. :( We had a fish too, but it wasnt a stray
I tend to like the "girl next door" type of woman. I am looking for someone feminine, gentle, fun, funny that I can trust,is straight forward and honest, clean, that I can do fun activities with (live loud music, hiking, plays, dinner). . When I like a woman, I actually like clingy - I am not looking to be in a relationship with someone who just isnt there. I have discovered that falling in love is not a simple step by step process like staining a microscope slide with gram negative bacteria (nothing spells romance like microbiology). So it takes time; i sort have a soft 1:2 rule - it needs to be going somewhere in a year, but could take 2 years.
I am often told I am funny, I have been told I am very forgiving (probably too much so), I am very gregarious and generous. I am tough, and value relationships over almost all else. I have been told often I smell good, even after the gym, and that I never have morning breath - I dont know - I think I dont smell good some times but I have heard this often from a few people. I can very adventurous - VERY. This is true on many levels (when I speak I sometimes speak on many levels at the same time). I love to eat. I have bought a business sight unseen in another state and the end result was very good, but it was a big chance. I have been very adventurous in romance and other areas of life and it has always been a good thing.
One thing - whoever I get serious with will support completely Dave Ramseys financial ideas. It took me a couple of years to get things financially on track again after divorce and I am not going to make a union with someone who doesnt completely support his ideas on finances. My ex still isnt "there": - I paid her electric bill last month on top of other things. I will never link myself to a liability
5/13/12 - smell update (haha) I had a last minute date last night at Saddle Ranch. I had showered in 48 hours because I had camped out with my son, was still wearing the same clothes. I offered to shower and change, but they told me to just get my butt over there. I asked them to smell me, and they said I smelled really good - with just a hint of campfire smoke. haha

My kids have been everything to me : my oldest son (21) graduated magna cum laude, is an eagle scout, academic all-American in swimming, triple majoring at ASU in physics, math and biochem - is now on a church mission. Oldest daughter (19) was Validectorian, and is conquering the world in college. Youngest daughter (16) was class president at her high school, swim, does dance, is being heavily recruited by all the Ivy League schools. Youngest son (10) loves football, Jujitsu.
