SECOND...I'm a single mother. I don't have time for games nor do I play them. I'm not interest in hook ups, dating around and out every weekend. I love being a mother and my son is my everything.
Life changed two years ago when I found out I was pregnant and one year ago when my son was born. I am a single mother and a special education teacher. My life has changed, but for the better. My outlook on life has changed dramatically and therefor my outlook on dating and men has also changed.
What I would like in a man...educated, humorous, hard working, family oriented, laid back, sports fan, honest, old fashioned, romantic and someone who just goes with the flow. I'm very nervous about dating again and being a single mother, my guard is up a little more than before. I will not bring a man around my son unless he has potential, so don't even ask. (Maybe if the interest is high enough, I may decide to subscribe)
I think the biggest thing with dating is that you have two different individuals who may bring opposite things to the table (environment, views, education, etc.), but the key is to be open minded and compromise. The rest should fall into place.

I am completely simple to figure out but at the same time I'm not an open book. I know how that sounds but I chalk it up to the fact that I actively learn and listen and am open to new views if they make sense. I am completely content with staying in but I am a social person and sometimes I just like getting out, especially since I'm behind a desk all week. It could be a bar but more times than not I just want to be out of my house and anything will work.
I understand there is a time and a place for everything and am capable of abiding by that as well. I have ZERO tolerance for causing scenes in public. I am not high maintenance nor am I hard to please. I welcome a good challenge but prefer to keep the games to a limit. The little things in life amuse me and I love getting caught up in the moment. I can be shy when first meeting new people but once I've gotten to know you a little I really hit my stride.
I LOVE being outside when my schedule permits it (as long as its warm out). I will warn you that I am a big baby when it comes to cold weather!! I enjoy camping, hiking, and sitting around bonfires. I am not afraid to get my hands dirty. I grew up around guys and can hold my own but please do not forget that I am a lady. I LOVE LOVE LOVE witty banter! I enjoy a good debate but won't engage in one unless I actually know something on the subject. I hate uncomfortable silences and awkward moments but I won't talk just because I love to hear my own voice. In case you haven't picked up on it... I can be opinionated but at least I have my own thoughts.
My ideal man is somewhat complicated. I want a man who doesn't mind getting dirty but cleans up well. I want someone I can carry on an intelligent conversation with but who has a wicked sense of humor. I would love to find someone who can be sensitive when needed but I do not want mushy. I want someone who is with me because they want to be with me and not because they NEED to be with me for whatever reason and you can rest assured that if I'm with someone it is because I want to be. I also feel honesty is the best policy and I'll be upfront with you and I expect the same in return.
My family is back in Ohio but am very close with them. I have two amazing nieces and one handsome nephew that I wish live a lot closer. I have some of the best friends a person can ask for and I would do anything for them.
I love movies, music, dancing, sports (Go Steelers and Penquins), and don't mind curling up with a good book. I am a HUGE fan of cuddling. I don't mind dive bars and am always down for darts or a good game of Texas Hold'em.
