Although, I feel much younger than my years, never really associating myself with what I thought a “40” year old would be like. My life is busy, but I tell myself I am better organized in chaos. A brand new junior higher who competes in cheer, and a 7 year old imp who I am convinced will give our kitten shaken baby syndrome are the occupants of my life. These main characters are stable but I adopt 150 kids annually. I collect them like puppies, never willing to quite let them go. I am a teacher. I teach because I love talking to people about books and reading books about people. My recent obsessions are teaching my 13 year old Jane Austen, Poe and The Hunger Games series- oh, and Wilde. I also travel. I travel because I love to connect with the culture, get lost in labyrinths of tiny streets and, most of all, I relish falling in love with the stories of new places…not to mention the shopping. I will argue that the world is better with gift shops. Not everyone fell asleep with the same monsters under their beds and heroes at their windows- in fact, it is fascinating to note the differences in those beds and windows. It is also amzing to travel with high school kids, especially when there eyes are opened to the world for the first time. :)
I love animals and have a dog, 2 cats, and two kids. Yes, I did list them under animals, but the two girls are 7 and 13 and my animals are probably cleaner. They are all particularly rotten and I have trouble imagining my life without them. I don’t cook very well… but they do know me very well at chick fil a, at least it is healthy white meat chicken. :)

I'm a proud mom of 2 older teenage daughters - 17 and 18 1/2 (1 who lives with me full-time here in AZ and 1 in WI). I just moved to AZ a few months ago and am still trying to find my way around. I have a great career that I enjoy. However, while I believe in working hard, I also believe in enjoying life to its fullest. I enjoy having drinks and good conversation with friends and family, dining out, comedy clubs and I can't get enough of the Green Bay Packers (or any football for that fact!). Some of the things I believe: 1) That everything happens for a reason. Sometimes good things fall apart so that better things can fall together. 2) I believe in love at first sight and that there is no better feeling than being in love...with the right person and for the right reasons. It might mean some sleepless nights, but in the long run, it is worth it. 5) I believe that receiving flowers can be more meaningful than words, but also that a simple smile, a hug and a "How was your day?" (and truly listening to the response!) can be even more meaningful. 6) While flowers on Valentine's Day is nice....flowers on some random day is FAR more touching. 7) I believe a gentle kiss on the cheek, holding your hand, putting your arm around the other, a wink from across the room or a passionate kiss up against your door at the end of a date is HOT! 8) And finally, one of the most important things...a real lover is the person who can give you butterflies by kissing your forehead or just smiling into your eyes.
