I’m a nice guy. Yeah, I know most of the guys on this site say that, but I have proof. My 14 year old daughter tells me I’m the best dad/guy in the world so that must be true. What defines me as a nice guy? Well for starters I open doors for ladies, not just pretty ladies but all ladies. I was raised by my grandparents so I have some old fashioned habits of which opening doors are one of them. I have respect for all people, including my elders, peers, and colleagues. I stop to help people when they need it. I believe firmly in treating people the way you wish to be treated. Aside from the serious side, I definitely have a funny bone. I can be sarcastic at times, but not over the top. I love to laugh and make people laugh - one of my best qualities. I believe that laughter is the key to longevity. Do I believe laughter cures all? No, but it does take the edge off a bad situation. I can triple guarantee I will always keep you smiling and laughing. I am the guy your parents wish you would bring home
So about me physically you probably noticed I am bald. This is by choice. If I let my hair grow and actually waited through that awkward “in-between” stage of bald and hair, I’d look like Larry from the 3 Stooges. Yeah bald is in my genes, so I figure this is a better look for me. All of my uncles are tall, so obviously that’s one gene I didn’t get. I’m 5’9” - 179lbs and unhappy with that. I was always very thin when I was younger, but age and life happens to us all. I’m working on sculpting what I can. My goal is 165-170lbs range which I’m sure I’ll get to soon enough. Do my pictures reflect this? Well they are recent pictures but they are terrible pictures. I hate the camera and I hate taking pictures. I’ll try to get some better ones up. I used to have a goatee, but recently shaved it off for a new look. Not sure this is working for me, we’ll see. I have 3 tattoos, all on my left arm. I do plan to get a few more. Does this mean I’m a bad guy? Not at all, but some people hate tattoos. I happen to like them and I don’t judge people for having them. My tattoos are in a place where I can remain professional in the workplace
I have a good job – assistant vice president and software developer for a bank in Phoenix. I’ve been in the financial and mortgage industry for several years. I am also going to school to finish my undergrad. It’s taken me a while because like many young people, I thought making money was more important, so I put college off. I am a few semesters away from graduating then I’m going to law school. I took so long to go back I decided I wanted to change careers by the time I was nearly finished. This is why education is so important to me and my kids. I try to use my experiences as an example to teach my kids the importance of doing it right the first time.
My kids are very important to me. I have three which I see half time and they are wonderful little people. I have two girls and one boy (14, 9, and 3). We spend time together doing fun things, hanging out at the pool, cooking, going on trips, etc. They are great kids and I have no doubt whoever I introduce them to will love them as much as I do.
Some things about me:
- I love to cook low fat and healthy cuisines, but I can divert and make things “the right way” every once in a while when I get a sweet tooth or just don’t care what goes in it. My favorites are Mexican, Italian, South Asian, and Texas BBQ.
- Being healthy is important to me. I exercise 3 days a week, don’t smoke, drink socially, and enjoy exercising outdoors. I recently purchased a mountain bike (my second bike) and I love to hike. Ever see Havasupai falls? That’s on my bucket list for this year.
- I’m a movie fanatic – I love good films, both indie and big budget. I’ll even watch foreign films if they get good reviews.

I've always played sports and here in the valley I currently play tennis. I've found that after playing for about 7 years, tennis is a challenging sport both mentally and physically. The practice and hard work are worth it when I come out on the winning end of a multi-deuce point or send an overhead slam over the fence.
Music is an important part of my day every day. Right now I'm listening to Dave Matthews, Fall Out Boy, and Foster The People to name a few. But my favorite songs are the ones I listen to at the gym or in the car where I get pumped up, feel a rush of adrenaline, and kick it into a higher gear.
I like trying new foods and found many restaurants here in the valley that feature unique cuisine. I've even found an excellent restaurant where you can throw plates on the floor!
I would like to travel someday and if I get the chance I would go to London, Germany, or Japan. My only prerequisite would be that I learn the local language before I go. I feel I wouldn't get the full experience communicating with the many interesting people I'd meet if I was always looking at a translation book throughout the visit
About you: You appreciate learning and feel that getting an education is part of the learning process-if you have 6 degrees, congratulations on your hard work, but definitely not necessary. You're a good listener to your family and friends. You don't have to do what they say or take their advice but you understand where they're coming from and help them out when they need you. I moved out here from Long Island, NY about 9 years ago (yes, I miss the beach). I got my undergraduate degree from Bucknell University in Music and Health Education and also played Div. I lacrosse there. I received my Master's degree in Music Performance from Kansas State University while working as a strength coach. I am still very active. I run daily and workout 4-5x/week. I enjoy being outside, working on my home, taking trips, and watching movies. I have two great danes, so I hope you like dogs. It must be that "he needs me" or "I like a project" mentality. The other 20% seem to like men that are weak minded, and easily controlled. Well I don't fit in either of those categories.
And you ask, "what happened to chivalry"? Ha! Nine times out of ten you are dealing with a man who has no clue what that is or he wasted it on some other chick who claimed to be "old fashioned".
