I wish I were hand writing this and smoking Lucky strikes in black and white, life seemed so much easier when I grew up and watched my grandparents hack away on typewriters and legal pads. Instead I'm hacking away on a PC, somehow trying to condense 37 years of living life into some headline that will make sense, so that you will hopefully think I'm interesting or maybe normal. To be honest, I have met thousands of people and I have to question if any of us are truly normal.
I am a divorced dad, my life is simple, I work like hell to afford better things for my two wonderful kids. When they are taken care of, I then stop breathe and relax and enjoy every succulent moment of life. I am a many things, son, brother, friend, and sometimes peace maker, instigator, village idiot, dreamer, realist, cook, maid, and super dad.
I have traveled all across the world and can keep you in tears or laughter with stories of the things I have seen. I have lived enough, to have rather embarrassing moments and moments that have defined my life. I have cried for hours in near defeat only to soon find myself in utter glory laughing at how simple even the darkest hour was not so dark.
I was born and raised Baptist, I know we have a stigma, I'm that guy in the youth group that your parents really did not like. I'm not a bad guy, I just believe that every religion has something to offer and each one of us has to decide which one works for them. I attend church when I can, and I am open to most religious views, lets talk about it, it will probably spark a very cool conversation.
I have worked since I was 14, I realized at an early age that I should pursue fishing as an avenue of employment, so now I fish professionally on a charter boat when the oil allows. I own two companies and manage them on a daily basis. I have had the wonderful opportunity of working in many capacities and in many different places. I basically left Mobile when I was 22 and didn't look back til I was 32. Ten years away will definitely clear up how much one can miss, the sweet smell of spring rain. Its not the same everywhere else. I promise.
What do I do for fun? The answer is easy, I live, life should not be something we endure. I volunteer, I work, I cook, I entertain, I have a drink, go out to clubs, watch movies, travel, play games (mind games excluded), build, create, kayak, ride bicycles, and generally act like an very easy going adult. I live the dream really.
