I actually like movies like The Notebook over any other type of movie out there. I'd like to think I am a romantic kinda guy, but then again, I'm no push over and no sissy. I spend much of my week volunteering for my community as a ff and emt to many of whom I have never met, many are drug addicts, prostitutes, or many who I will never see again and some of which show no appreciation for what I do. Whether it be helping someone grow their business, or giving someone that's having chest pain 10ml of O2, and seeing their pain subside, or running on a cardiac arrest call and bringing someone back, which is the most rewarding thing in life, or just counseling someone after they just lost a loved one at a call. Its all VERY important to me. Unfortunately, if you cant handle loving someone that risk their life for others, then chances are we are not meant to be. If the time comes and its my life or someone else's (including yours) then its my life. Whether its a child, a mother, a father, a 90 year old lady. My life is no more important than the next person and that's why I choose to do what I do, as not all guys have that outlook on life. I'm not afraid of dying as I know where I am going, however I don't know where the next person is going so, maybe my life will give them an opportunity to get theirs straight so they can get to where they need to be in the end.
